@@MrLeBatave It seemed to me that the beat, at least harmonically speaking, pulses more every 2 normal measures, and I didn’t want to use 16th notes at the risk of being too cluttered.

To the ears of any halfway decent professional jazz/pop/rock musician her "swing eigths" (or ternary eights, if you want) just sound very amateurish and un-grooving, almost to the point of a parody. I fear that she does mean this seriously, though...

Swing percentage is a matter of taste and as long as the performer is consistent throughout the performance any swing percentage (within reason) can sound good. I think her rhythm is extremely good. Please upload a video where you demonstrate what you consider amature and professional swung 8th notes. But let me guess, you won't, because you probably don't have any musical talent or taste; and you can just barely string together sentences that sound vaguely technical to make yourself feel smart

@@nickpollockpiano Dude, you don't have a clue, at least about jazz/swing. You can find recordings of my playing (Christoph Münch) on RU-vid and elsewhere on the Internet where you can hear that I at least have understood how swing works. Good players never play with a "consistent percentage", by the way. It varies constantly, depending of the kind of phrase, the tempo, the style etc. - I just looked onto your channel and it became evident that you indeed have no clue about jazz but just play popular stuff for clueless people.

@@christophmunch4796 I have listened to alot of jazz in my life and your video of "it could happen to you" would be a classic example of what one of university professors refered to as Starbucks jazz (ie just meaningless background music, that is non-offensive , but doesn't really have anything to say). I do admit that your clip clear shows that you understand swing, but it definitely does not show that you know anything about making a piece of music that is dynamic, goes somewhere and isn't just the musical equivalent of wallpaper
