It would have saved a lot of people heartaches, but Sansa would have been torn apart. Can you imagine what Cersei would have had done to her? Beheading would have been too kind, she probably would have given Sansa to the Mountain. Or Qyburn.
@@meganrhode88 Lol, it wasn't uncommon for children to fly from windows, things done for love. His mother still hadn't resolved that then open issue. So, Joffrey could have been drunk and missed his footing. Instead, Sansa ended up with Ramsey, which was horrifying and just as bad, imo. She received parts of Jayne's storyline from the books, too. Oh, no - Joffrey would have got it. She definitely didn't escape torture and Ramsey did his own abusing for pleasure, that gave Jayne begging to please his dog vibes, how isn't that worse? No, I'm passing on the Reek treatment and pushing with both hands. The Hound had some empathy, so begging for dear life and aid to escape with him had to be better than the Little Finger murder tutorials. Rob was still alive at this point, if I'm not mistaken. She had some value. I didn't think her sister would have made it out but she did. I believe Little Bird could have too.
Ironically Joffrey was too much of a narcissist to consider sansa tried to kill him there. He turned around quickly enough to see it, he didnt even understand what the hound was intervening for.
Wrong! Joffrey was shocked by the hound meddling with his action, he respects the hound to a point. Seeing how he cleaned that blood from the hit Joffrey gave her disconcerted him, it's like going against the kings wishes and actions, but is an action blurry enough to be allowed by Joffrey, he then reinforces his action by asking if she would obey now. It was a perfect scene but it saddens me that most people lack the intellectual capabilities to understand this show to it's fullest...
The silent rage in her eyes is very well done here One of the moments that confirmed for me that Hound was truly not the monster he appeared.. he saved her life, here
He explains it very well at some point. he thinks all the knights, and kings guard are full of shit. he hates them and his brother a man who butchers women and children. gets to be a knight lmfao
I think that's why there's plotline for Sansa that's different in the book, because Sophie Turner has alot of good critics of her performance (according to the Wiki I suppose)
Credit to Sophie Turner here just the look in her eyes not only do we know she's going to push Joffery but I absolutely believe she's willing to go over the edge herself as long as it ensures he goes with her.
Nothing the books she wasn't. After she ruined her father's plan to get them back home she was terrified all the time and never attempted to do anything. She also got Arya's friend killed for lieing about them attacking Joffrey.
The Hound knew what she was doing, in a way he saved her, if she did succeed in pushing him to his death, Cersie would have had her flayed alive, and she wouldn't have lived to be Queen Of The North
Sansa und Hund könnten sagen es war ein Unfall, die haben nichts damit zu tun. Ihm wurde schlecht und er ist gestützt...aber es ist ein Film. Spannung muss bleiben ..
@@gruenersaphir I see your point but do you think that Cersei would have cared? Regardless of what either of them said she would have tortured the fuck out of them, she wasn't the most rational person, you know.
It was not about it, if she did kill Joffrey there, she would be murdered by Cersei's Command, she would not leave King's Landing alive, The Hound saved her
If Sansa had sent it, she would be my favourite character. It would have been her salvation from hell. Because her life was hellish after this. If nothing else, it would have been entertaining and dramatic and she would have put in a shift.
She would have died a horrible death if she pushed Joffrey over that edge actually, Cercei would have been completely mad and probably would have ordered her men to do horrible things with Sansa if she didn't die with him there.
@Chernobyl_Reactor4 Yup, tackling and clamping on him is the only way she can guarantee he goes, and failure is death anyway so you may as well guarantee success.
She would have died, if not while pushing him, immediately after, as Cersei would hunt her and torture her to death. The Hound seems to care more about the Stark girls than he despises the nobles that he cynically serves.
I feel bad for the actor that played Joffrey. He was brilliant at that role and stupid people can’t differentiate between an acting job and real life. Him and the guy who played Ramsey Bolton
He didn’t save Joffrey’s life. He saved Sansa’s. The hound would’ve wanted to push him over too but if Sansa did she’d be tortured in the dungeon until she died the same way as Ned.
The hound was one of my favourite characters, in all his brutality, he always looked out for people, he knew the world was a wicked place, gave support where he could.
Yes. She would have. It’s pretty clear in this clip but in this scene in the books she literally thinks “You could do it. You could do it right now.” And that “It wouldn’t even matter if she fell over with him. It wouldn’t matter at all.” But the hound stopped her, same as he did here.
If sansa managed to kill joffrey here she wouldnt have survived either cersei would give her the most brutal death perhaps prolonged rape and torture by the hands of the mountain... Or maybe the hound would have said "fuck this shit" and ride out of kings landing with sansa and we would see hound and sansa roaming the countryside instead of the hound and arya.... Another possibility is tywin still would interevened and have the girl spared only for the purpose of marriage because she is a royal stark blood and would be needed for making alliances to control the north But we wouldnt have seen the beautiful blue death that joffrey deserved in his wedding 😂
I so applaud Sansa for not crying. It would be a perfectly normal reaction to cry at having to stare at your beloved father’s decapitated head. But she didn’t. She declared she didn’t want to, then stared at it fiercely. She gave Joffrey a fierce remark and locked her gaze on him. She was slapped in the face and then nearly killed Joffrey. All the while keeping her face strong. She would not let him break her in this moment. Not right now. Crying isn’t a weakness, but Joffrey sees it as one. She showed him she isn’t weak
That was a badass moment for her, even if she wasn't able to go through with it, because of the Hound. The fact that she was willing to sacrifice her own life to take Joffrey out like that was peak Sansa Stark and peak Game of Thrones. 😂
The hound actually did that not only saved Sansa but also himself.. remember he is a king's body guard at that moment, if joffrey died, it will also be his head on the spike..
If Sansa killed Joffrey in that moment, she would suffer Cersei's wrath, horrible tortures and grosume death before she get revenge on those who hurt her and killed her family plus destroy her family name on false accusations of treason and lies, it was good of the Hound to have saved her life and preventing her drag herself to the same level of her enemies, thanks to this heroic act Sansa survived, avenged herself and love ones plus give the North its independence and became the queen of the North and along with her remaiming siblings brought honor and glory to her family name and House in a way Ned, Catlyn, Robb, Talysa, Rickon and her late family would be so prould of
No one understands the scene. Everyone is commenting nom sense. The hound dared to step in in the king's decision to smack his wife, that's daring, but Joffrey has some kind of respect for the hound and his action wasn't direct enough.
Sansa’s head would have been up on that wall with her father’s but she would have saved us so much annoyance! Or Cersei would have sent her head to Robb and Robb would have sacked King’s Landing looking for Arya.
I don’t understand what took Sansa so long to see Joffrey is a little shit I mean first and foremost who allows a mf to swing a real sword at your YOUNGER SISTER and threaten to kill her, Nymeria did her part well, but Sansa on the other hand she lied and because of that she got Lady killed and all she had to do was tell the truth because prior to this he completely slapped her hand away and told her don’t touch him and as the episodes went on he just ignored her most of the time like it fr took her Father’s head being chopped off for her to see hell rather than Lady being killed. But no Cersei orders Lady to be killed and Ned does it because of honor and order of the King(by order of the Queen) and Joffrey doesn’t even comfort her for it but yet she gets angry at Ned
Like many teenagers her age in Westeros, she's been spoonfed with pretty stories of romance between prince and princesses and told it was her purpose to be someone's faithful and loving bride. Ned never educated Arya or Sansa to the world's ugliness and he was himself pretty unaware of how manipulative people can be. The entire point of her character is to show rank and beauty have nothing to do with nobility or gentlness (proof being, the character who looked out for her was the Hound, a disfigured and broken man).
@@farseeraradrel4808 And again that’s what bothers me the most about the Starks in GoT cause when you read about them you see these brave and cunning warriors but these Starks just insane and for Ned to constantly spew Winter is Coming yet prepares his daughters for the South is wild and that’s honestly why I respect Tywin a little cause he actually taught Cersei more than just pumping out babies
these two should have ended up together, when she said she was not scared of him I thought what a reward for him and she would never fear anyone with him by her side. What trash the ending of this series was. Jorah should have had to have killed Daenerys to fulfill the legend to defeat the night king, she sacrifices herself to save the people, Jorah must kill the woman he loves and served for the entire show what power that would have had then let John Go south and take the throne. It was set up to be perfect and they shit all over it.
If i was sansa id be dead or tortured cause id have cut his manhood off while he slept and watch him die from it. And then theyd kill the me for sure. But idk. I think all sanity would leave my body.
Who'd think I'd love the Hound and still cannot stand Sansa. She was helpless and terrified into paralysis past the point of self preservation or revenge. Easy to say. She was a victim of foolish romantic notions, that have no basis in reality. As it turns out. Arya is a girl after my own heart. Hopefully not actually after it. Team Stark.
