The fastest and easiest way to grow/propagate Any Types/Varieties Of Sansevieria Masoniana or Dracaena Masoniana Whale Fin Snake Plant Using Leaf Cutting Or Division Method
Hi, sorry for late reply. It's usually because of over watering or the type of soil used. Plant the cuttings in well draining soil (you can add perlite). Water it... just to keep soil moist and not wet and soggy. Hope this two tips help you in next propagation.
Whale fin does not grow taller than 2 feet and has wide leave, wherelese Jaboa grows taller and long leaves. The patterns on Jaboa are a little unique and different that many other snake plants.
@@PlantZone update on my whale fin - I seperated the leaves and put it in a pot with some soil, water, and light sun. 3 weeks later I've seen many roots grown!! Thank you for this video!
Will the leaf that has rooted grow rhizome in the future? If yes, how long will it take? How do we encourage the adult whale fin to grow big faster? Do we add fertilizers? I saw a 2 feet long whale fin selling for RM 180 at Shopee today.
Hi, yes rooted leaf will grow rhizome once its well rooted and mature. As you know, whale fin are slow but with right condition and care will grow fast and healthy. You can fertilizer it once very 3 months.
If the lines looks like wrinkles, yes its due to under watering. This plant does not need a lot of watering but cannot do without water as well. So do water it when the top soil is completely dry.
@@PlantZone Thanks again. Bdw, I have a 49cm long and thin whale fin. It was a originally a baby whale fin that I separated. How do I make the fin broader? And the fin also didn’t open out completely. The edges are a bit curled in.
I have the same experience before. When we separate the baby plant from mother plant before it completely open out or mature, it won't open and remain that way after we plant separate. So, now I wait until the baby completely mature, before I cut from the mother plant.
Hi, yes I do. You can visit my shop at shopee: shopee.com.my/kaviash if you can't find what you are looking for, just message me in Shopee, I may have the plant but may not have put it yet. Thanks.
