*GIs in Japan and Okie brought a lot of these and G-33000s back to CONUS. Curious that 40 years later one finds many beautiful examples recently on offer, mostly from high-end audio stores in Viet Nam. They run $8K - $10K plus shipping. Caution though, VN is 220V so if input is not switchable to 115V, yer screwed. Cheers!*
I was stationed in Japan in 1973 and part of 1974, the heyday of Japanese electronics. They were falling over each other trying to build nicer and more powerful receivers. I miss those days as the yen was almost 400 to the dollar!! The exchange rate made everything a bargain and our only limiting factor was we only made maybe $400 per month.
Hey Todd. I recorded this a few months back, if the volume was above half it’s only because the aux input (DAC) was turned down. Good catch! You are correct, the volume knob is usually below 25%, above that means hearing damage.
High please explain Why you and everyone else only play copyright free music when testing these things. ? As every tune in the history of man is available on u tube. I put music in here from many albums. In the past. No problem. Cheers
