Hi my beautiful friend, Had you on my mind this morning and wanted to say hi and hope that you are still on the mend. Still keeping my fingers and toes and eyes crossed that you've been through the worst of it all and that there will be no permanent nerve damage. Though, with my eyes crossed, I keep running into things. It's 22 degrees here this morning and I just want to stay under the covers and not move. I have to go to the post office but will wait till tomorrow as I'm not getting out today for sure. I like the cold weather, but not this cold. Good God you've been through it Lynn, thats horrendous! I did have a little 🤬🤬🤬🤭 when you were telling us about all the back and forth to the hospital, thats awful I'm sure you were exhausted and stressed out. Its great to see you 🤗 and you really look fab even though you've been so poorly. My hubby got the second of his shingles vaccine yesterday, his health centre offered it to him (he's 60) because he has rheumatoid arthritis and is on the immune suppressant drug Methotrexate Bless your son that's a lovely idea, look forward to those lovely meals coming. New subscriber. I don’t usually comment, I just like to watch but had to say how sorry I am you’ve had such a terrible time since before Christmas. At 71 myself I can only imagine how rough you felt. Illness takes so much more out of us when we’re ‘older’ 🫤 and I really wish you 100% better very soon.

Oh Lynn I’m so sorry,it all sounds awful,I was one of the lucky ones with a very mild case of shingles,a big patch on the knee,and a small patch on the back,though very mild I did notice that when I touched my affected knee I couldn’t really feel it for about 2 years after,though it didn’t affect walking,or anything like that,just a numbness to the skin.Though medical insurance is expensive here I have found the hospital service to be excellent,and if you go by ambulance they will see you immediately.10years ago my friend drove me to the hospital,and as soon as I got there they had machines all over me to find out what was wrong with me,pneumonia,and congestive heart failure,there was no messing around ,there are staff doctors in Emergency at all times.Though when I left the UK 59 years ago, hospital service was good,but now I am hearing complaints all the time.

Congratulations on your 3k Subbie's you so deserve it. We get 5 dinners each a week from Light n Easy just pop in the microwave. It might only be in Australia not sure. My husband is very fussy so l still have to cook some nights. That was great your Son did that for you. Yes what would we do without our wonderful Sons and daughters. Thank goodness your on the mend at last, you poor thing, I know exactly how you felt about going to A and E, it’s a really horrible experience, and I try to avoid it at all costs. Wow you have certainly been through it going to the emergency hospital is my worst nightmare as where I live you can be waiting 5 hours plus before you even see the nurse it’s an absolute nightmare. I can’t believe that even though you were bringing blood up you were told to go home and eat banana and yogurt. I hope you carry on feeling better and make a full recovery xx

I really hope this a good sign and you continue to get better. Seeing you so poorly prompted me to book a shingles jab for me and my husband as luckily we are eligible , have to wait till early February but we are getting them. Take care.

Aww Lynn, what a natural you are, such a lovely lady that makes me, and I am sure lots of others feel you are a close friend. What you have went through scares me. I said in a previous comment that I was quite unwell after my shingles vaccine, in fact it took around a month before I felt myself. The sore arm your husband complained about was genuine, poor Harv 😂. I have had flu vaccines for years being employed with NHS as I am sure you have had also. I have had vaccines over the years to cover me from things you can maybe catch in foreign countries and before you enter you have to produce a fit for travel document and never had any worrying reactions to any but to take Harvey’s side, the arm that I got the vaccine in was so sore and uncomfortable for around three weeks and I never felt like myself for the same period of time and decided I wouldn’t get the second one . Like Harv , I only got the six months one and I have a letter in saying my second dose is on Monday 15th. I can tell you now that 100%, I will be there in front of the queue. You have given me the fear, I don’t think I could cope with what you went through. If any of your followers read this, please don’t be put off but a wee bit advice, if the nurse doctor asks you what hand do you write with, ignore. The question should be what side to you sleep on 😂 I am right handed and I got the vaccine on my left, I sleep on my left side, never got a decent sleep for a month but all that is trivial to what you have went through Lynn. Looking forward to your next vlog when you are able to do it. In the meantime, take care, look after yourself, hugs from a cold wet Scotland ❤
