As always, there is a LOT to cover this month on the developments currently taking place in Walton County. For this month's update, we are three large new developments that will change the landscape of Santa Rosa Beach forever. Whether you are a buyer, investor, or a current resident, it's important to stay up to date on the current real estate market and what we can expect in future inventory.
Saltaire is a $123.9 million venture, which will be spread over a 24.5-acre building site along Hwy 98. The high-end community will boast 256 apartments, ranging from one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes.In addition to the residences, Saltaire will offer more than 34,000 square feet of commercial space, which will comprise a grocery store, along with smaller businesses and amenities. The development, designed with the community in mind, will include a sizeable dog park, a public pedestrian trail that wraps around nearly three acres, and a resort-style pool.
30 West Conceptual PUD - recently passed its first reading before the Walton County Board of County Commissioners (BCC), getting a favorable reception from the commissioners and public support. Consisting of 717 multi-family units, 309,655 square feet of grocery, retail, office, limited lodging, civic, recreational, and associated infrastructure on 87.7 +/- acres.
US 331 Apartments to develop 260 multi-family units on 29 +/- acres, located approximately 1 mile north from U.S. Highway 98 on the west side of U.S. Highway 331 S. The access parcel is on U.S. 331 and the two other parcels are located behind South Walton High School.
