You have not been updated properly, the stadiums you've presented are the starting point of each project, but there has been several updates: Santiago Bernabeu: - Has replaced the initial material of the exterior plates, because the sun reflection was so annoying for the neighbours. - Frontal leds between the plates are no longer part of the project. - The hotel project has been removed. It has been replaced for a food market and the Zona Mahou, for food & bevarage incomes. - Roof plates also removed. The roof is already finished. Camp Nou, it's difficult to say since it is begginig the core of the third tier of the stadium. For now, 360 screen has been removed and changed for 3 big screens. - They will add a skywalk through the roof, completing the customer experience of the Camp nou tour. - Roof structure has been modified in order to be more sustainable and keep the rain water. As I said, the building phase is starting, so more updates will happen and several things will be removed, as Bernabeu which is in the final steps of its build.

Both aim diferent things. Bernabeu has less space to work so they have to focus more in the stadium itself more than in the surroundings. In the other hand Camp Nou is focused more in a big Campus. Both are great projects that work with all the means they have.

I was at Bernabeu for the last el classico few days ago and its absolutely amazing. It certainly eclipses that "retro" feel INSIDE it. Sure it looks bit too "futuristic" from the outside but from the inside it really has that classic look.

The Camp nou and the Bernabeu both are good. Because if you look at barca's current financial situation, Barca need to make ways to earn more money then before. on the other hand Bernabeu is making this for the design as Rma is better in financial sight comparing barcelona. But I will choose Camp nou because it is worthy. Bernabeu is a bit low light stadium which I don't like.

Camp Nou is more beautiful, especially its view from the outside, it looks fantastic, unlike the Bernabeu, which looks like a sardine can. Camp Nou has stunning views of the city and additional facilities for entertainment and shows, and it remains the largest in Europe. The comparison is difficult.

We´ll see once the new Camp Nou is complete, then we will be able to compare, at this point you can´t compare since CN is not even half done, the comments saying that the Bernabeu is better....are Madrid fans. The SB is a patch of metal panels that recover the old stadium, the CN is an enlargement construction of biblical proportions.

Camp Nou looks better from the outside imo, but fom the inside i think Bernabeu will be better especially with its design and roof aiming to raise the noise levels and also when it comes to paying off and efficiency i think Bernabeu is much much better. The retractable pitch and fully closeable roof means much more uses and that's gonna bring in more money.

Nope. Camp Nou has more future than Bernabéu. What Camp Nou lacks (retractable pitch and that video screen) could be added in the future. What Bernabéu lacks: 24.000 less seats, parking for 3.000 vehicles, a 15.000 and 4.000 seats sports halls (property of FCB) just nearby, and IMMENSE land around for all kind of facilities and services (you have to see what is being build underground), spacious accesses..., well, it lacks and and will lack all this. Some Madrid sources already admit that the next step will necessary be to build a new stadium somewhere else, because now and in the current place there is no room for anything else.

@@PereUbu-pk6iqI'm a Legia Warsaw fan, so unlike most people here (and you), I'm not biased. 😂 I've been to both venues and I must say that when it comes to acoustics, visibility and the overall experience of watching the match, Bernabeu definitely won. Of course, that was a few years ago and I am pretty sure that the new Camp Nou will make progress in those aspects. The roof itself will help a lot. Parking is a must, but you forget that the Bernabeu has its own metro station with an exit right in front of the stadium. This is a huge advantage and a great convenience for fans. Buses and trams are not the same. I'm not particularly interested in sports halls, we're comparing stadiums here. In my opinion, the Camp Nou project itself, apart from its huge size, is nothing groundbreaking compared to other new stadiums and I do not think that it could compete with the Bernabeu in terms of providing fans with entertainment on match days. My friend, who has visited every major stadium in Europe, was at Sunday's Gran Derbi and was delighted with what he saw. He says he could spend all day at the Bernabeu and not be bored, and that it will be hard to beat that. I think it can be summed up as follows: Real will have a stadium focused on the fans entertainment, providing them with everything they want in one place, but Barcelona will have a beautiful, extensive campus. Although, of course, there is no point in comparing a finished stadium with a stadium that is still under construction, so we still have to wait. 😉 BTW, are you sure the new Camp Nou will have a retractable roof? I haven't seen this on any official designs. Cheers.

Need to update the title: Real cost of Bernabeu is already 1170 + 778'5 interests, 1948'5M, still not finished. Espai Barça has a total budget of 1500M by now, including interests, lets wait and see if is the last price, but right now they seem pretty similar result/buget and start saying that one is better than the other is more of a blind fan thing. Both are gona be massive!

Barcelona didn't have enough money to completely renovate the stadium like Santiago Bernabeu. The concept of the stadium is good but it will take a minimum of 10 years. So currently Santiago Bernabeu is the most beautiful stadium in Spain.

Bernabeu is already scheduled to host 250 events in 2024-2025. The income that the stadium will generate is brutal. Also costing $400mm less, and with an only 2% interest loan vs the 6% interest loan of Barcelona... very big difference.

The quality of the pitch is shite, and honestly, to invest 225 millions only on this engine for the sake of having it... Do you know how much it costs to rent the whole stadium for an event (3/4 days)? 100.000 euros. Do the math if you want to know how many years RM will need just to recover the investment. The New Estadio Santiago Bernabeu Is The Greatest Football Stadium of All Time. Because of the new Santiago Bernabeu, I want to be an architect. I want to be an architect because I fell in love with that stadium 5 or 4 years ago. There are too many stadiums which are similar to the new Camp Nou and the new Santiago Bernabeu is really special because no stadium is similar to it. I don't care what anybody says. For me it is Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

So, before you start studying to be an architect, you'd better take a good look once more to see if there are similar proposals for Camp Nou, my dear, and broaden your horizons. You would be surprised how unique this proposal is. Even the Camp Nou design was done by Nikken Sekkei, the 2 largest architectural office in the world, and unlike the Bernabeu design, the Camp Nou design also won a prestigious architectural award. You won't find a design with ring terraces like Camp Nou so easily, but that's just so you don't talk nonsense. Such a small piece of advice already from an existing architecture student.

Truth to be told i like both.... Both have somethings that other dosent have which is good if every stadium starts to look same and fill same then whats the point... Madrid wants to capitalize in every event not only football which acording to the theory will boost their income alot on yhe other hand barca taking a different approach they know yhey have huge fan base they only wants to focus on football so increasing the seat capacity which is also boost income but not that much..barca always been close to their fans which is good but some times that dosent work football is changing rapidly thanks to oil money and multi club ownership bultsht...its not barca vs madrid anymore its club like them vs oil money , multiclub..

What will give you more money? Larger capacity, or 2-3 concerts a year. Those secondary events at the Bernabeu are quite overrated. We'll see after two years how much it actually earns them. Barcelona, on the other hand, has Palau at other events, so as a matter of fact we will see in time which approach was better.

Camp nou doesn’t have a cover. Thats my only issue with it. The Bernabau looks good from the outside. The Camp Nou surroundings look better. Camp nou capacity makes it better business decision (more income)

Bernabeu has more income though, because it's multipurpose. The retractable ground changes, for musical concerts, tennis matches, basketball, etc. It has both retractable roof and retractable pitch and will be having all sorts of events nonstop the entire year.

You have exaggerated expectations of how much money it will give you, but in reality it will not give you that much. If you want facts, then Barcelona has the Palau for those multi-purpose events, so you are not completely ahead of anything.

Bernabeu costed 2b....when they started they estimated 1b but at the end it will be 2b(some things still need to be done). And Camp Nou will be a bit more than you said because there are bonuses which Barca will pay if they will finish it faster than they agreed and it is going faster as planned

Both are really good in terms of design, but both of them bring different concepts addapted to the environment and the city. Madrid has a huge variable climate, so the stadium must be ready to resist: -- Extremely warm summers (around 45ºC betreen july-august) -- Strong winds in autumm -- Really cool winters (with a lot of ice in the mornings) -- Random heavy rains or full sunny weeks on the spring On the other hand Barcelona is next to the sea to the climate is far way softer, however there are more water in the ambient, so is necesary to have a better ventilation. Also, lets consider the city... Madrid is the capital of Spain and is basically the most futuristic place of the country. The only 4 skycrapers of Spain are in Madrid, with the most advanced metro and train services... is the most dense city in terms of population... In that environment i think that "a futuristic spaceship from star wars" looks good, because it adds something new that can rivalize with the 4 madrid towers (the skycrapers). On the other hand Barcelona is more "mediterranean" so the design of the new camp now looks really good there. -------------- All been said, the new bernabeu is HUUUUUGE :D Really, that thing is humongous and it makes look any other stadium like if they were really small haha xD (is nearly double bigger than before when you are there). In any case lets remember both stadiums arent fully completed yet. New Camp nou is begining the upgrade, and the New Bernabeu is finishing and polishing the details (right now is around 95% but there are things that are gonna probably be completed before Mbappe's presentation, like the skywalk, the external area, the commerces on the inside, the inner details of the armor to make it look better from the outside in the night and of course, the projections). P.D.: One interesting thing is that the armor of the new bernabeu has a microdetail on the stainless steel. Each plate has some micro forms to allow the projections to retain the full light from the projectors and at the same time to not reflect them to the houses near to the stadium. Basically, they arent a planar surface :p
