The governor and his administration cannot provide basic electricity for her citizens bit test drives an electric cars. What a shame by putting carriage before the horse. Only in Nigeria 🇳🇬 folks, Only in Nigeria.
There’s something wrong with the governor. He hates road maintenance with a highly populated state with huge numbers plying the roads daily but does things mostly for media hype without addressing real issues. The brand new cars he’s buying will be destroyed by the same roads he has refused to maintain. Ikorodu, Isolo lcda have the worst roads in lagos and you wonder how fashola government was able to do year round maintenance of same roads throughout his tenure and didn’t abandon us to suffer
@@thatoneguywholovesthena-4529 but we still achieved many things that even many African countries with 24hour lights didn't achieved,we thanks God for this
Ivory Coast Ambassador just came to innoson plant at Nnewi Anambra state for the purchase of Nigerian made vehicles. Innoson can easily make an electric car but what electricity will the buyers use to power it. building infrastructure is the first step for ev implementation. Even tesla is struggling in United States of America. Common sense has left the room I presume.
Investors, be careful. The Nigerian government told us that the newly built Dangote refinery is producing substandard products. Invest in your own risk.
Dangote Refinery is producing high quality products and that statement from NNPCL was meant to demarket Dangote Refinery because NNPCL doesn't want to stop importation of fuel. Dangote has been exporting aviation fuel and diesel to Europe since it started production. Do you think Europeans will buy substandard products from Africa???
@@michaelraimi1377 Well the technology is yet to become mainstream even though countries like China (who is behind these ones) who also seems to be in the front of the move to electric subsidizes most of the electric vehicles they sell home and abroad, they’ve overtaken TESLA sef in sales with that subsidy move. That N20m-N30m is still expensive for the Nigerian market though, as you’ve pointed out. Converting your old petrol engine to electric may be the way forward, as one Swedish company called OPIBUS is already doing in Kenya, with plans to enter other African countries. The company does motorcycles to buses electric conversions, they even sell the conversion kits, so let’s wait and see.
While electric cars are good to reduce emissions , noise, and save costs in place of petrol prices rising every time. It’s however sad to see the total neglect of road maintenance all over lagos by the same governor forming development. State roads all over lagos are in a terrible state and an emergency needs to be declared for lagos roads despite the huge revenue government is collecting daily. It’s a shame for lagos roads to be like this despite a smaller landmass and huge population trafficking majorly on the roads with serious traffic bottlenecks
Where are the roads to use it, and electric to charge, and lastly maintenance culture. May God help us, we are suppose to be the economic leader/giant in Africa, it's a pity. May God help us in Jesus name 🙏
All roads in Lagos are in a big mess, refuse everywhere in Lagos..Never seen lagos in a big mess like this since the Legendary Raji Fashola left office. It’s a shame what’s happening despite all the tax income generated by this state..
@@Ari-nq7hz , your observation is very apt . The last governor that served lagos was fashola who made road maintenance and construction a major priority of his tenure, the reason we can never forget him. He also moved around the state quietly a lot to inspect projects himself. Sanwo is largely living with media hype and not really providing service. But the APC chieftains chopping money with him see nothing wrong in the present system where service to the people has been abandoned. He’s launching brand new cars that’ll be destroyed by bad roads he has refused to maintain
Electric vehicles are charged with electricity, that means charging stations must be connected to the national power grid. Unfortunately in Nigeria electricity is very unreliable. America and Europe have reliable power supply but are abandoning electric cars because of it being a huge inconvenience. I wish Nigerians that will buy good luck.
Electric cars will be more dangerous in Nigeria,a country without walkways, where cars and pedestrians drag road.People will walk into cars without hearing any car noise.😅 Even in uk,charging stations is still a problem nevermind nigeria with no regular power.Goodluck!
LET'S THERE BEEN CONSTANT POWER SUPPLY FIRST BEFORE THINKING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES . LETS THE GOVERNMENT DO THE NEEDFUL THAT WILL HELP THE MASSES, NOT THINGS THAT WILL ALWAYS HELPS THEIRS GREEDY POCKET
Reason to build up power generation capacity immediately and charging points. Chinese ev are cheap and affordable even by African standards. Set up rightd to ev assembly plants all over Nigeria and produce with our workforce and start learning how to look after ourselves. Another great opportunity for nigeria
Yes it will use regular car battery for the multimedia like radio fog light head light and tail light the window roll up and down, the keyless lock for boot, door , bonnet It has to used regular car battery for all what I mentioned it have separate battery for the rotor engine that move the car under it sit So incase the battery that move the car run down the regular battery will still be working incase you wan lock your car or on the head light or for the emergency double pointer for others cars that is coming for the back to know that there's one car that break down so if it doesn't have the regular battery there's no way to lock the car if the battery runs down I hope you understand now Even Tesla as a regular battery apart from the pack battery the rotor used to move the vehicle
Imagine as oil producer country and oil as major income rushing to endorse electric vehicles.. beginning of the dead of Nigeria. Yoruba always think they get sense what a useless government.. Government that suppose to be pushing oil engine vehicles agenda for the seek of Nigeria national interest in stand useless Lagos governor with 6 iQ are there pushing for Chinese national interest what a shame
@@kormeneable , but there’s also a company with Nigerian partners in Ikorodu called Saglev that the state government should be patronizing for electric cars to spread the risk and wealth and encourage our local investors to grow
To: Governor Sanwo-Olu The western world is moving away from fossil fuel and have the capacity to generate enough ELECTRICITY to power their vehicles. Does Nigeria generate enough ELECTRICITY to power its vehicles? I know you're conscious of the situation so, efforts must be put into ensuring sufficient power supply or the project becomes a futile exercise and a waste of resources.
Only beneficial to those who have Solar power generation at their homes. May on the long run reduce the sole dependency on fossil fuel, and the side effects of carbon emission on the ozone layer.
@@obinnaezealah2465 is your brain leaking? imagine selling petrol cars but your state has no petrol stations.....now apply that same logic to electric cars. lagos state, the 4th richest city in africa on par with johannesburg, doesn't have 24/7 electricity, A WHOLE LAGOS (gdp of lagos alone is greater than Ghana btw) Lagos can build their own independent power grid like imo and abia are doing with how rich this state is but no...... and you are clapping because there are like 10 cars in lagos that use electricity that we don't have.............and you are calling people sad folks and pessimists. mediocrity will be the end of the nigerian people ajeh
