Sanyipace Sewer Inspection Camera Review. In this video I review the sewer inspection camera kit from Sanyipace. I like the kit even though if I could change a few things I would. The Sonde detector works perfectly. I appreciate the cases, self-leveling and the camera quality. The things I would change is that too sharp of a screw driver, the top flap that covers the screen would benefit by some extra velcro which is an easy fix as is the screwdriver, but for the price those are small things to include.
I'd also appreciate a thicker cable, but Sanyipace has a better version with said thicker cable so no REAL complaint there.

With some small improvements this could be an even better unit! For anyone that has any long-term experience with anything from Sanyipace leave your experience in the comments!

Nice job on video. I have spent the last couple weeks trying to find the right sewer camera for a large project that we are on. As you commented, the thin cable is why I haven't yet bought the Sanyipace camera with 10 inch touch screen. They really should give a thicker cable option next to the differenct lengths that they offer. You just aren't going to have good results pushing that small cable more than maybe 75 feet? Thank you again for video.

Agreed. It almost defeats the purpose of the long cable unless you have PERFECT conditions, and when do we ever have that right? LOL. But I will say, if you're curious, you could try it and if it doesn't work out return it. My only thing with buying things like that from Amazon is the 30 day return window gives me anxiety because again, with projects, sometimes things can get held up for 3 weeks and then you forget and now you're stuck.

@@ToolDeals I ended up buying a used Gen Eye system for slightly more money, but it has a slightly thicker cable, and a better locator. But I would have prefered the Sanyipace unit. It looks very good for everything but the cable. I thought about coming up with a way to put like pec? plastic tubing around the Sanyipace, but it just seemed too complicated. They are missing an oportunity to sell a lot more units. You should contact them. Thank you again for your video.

Hi, Thanks for your video, I am a full time plumber in Canada and been wanting to buy one of these from amazon and I have been watching so many clips on youtube regarding this inspection cameras, but everyone talks about how good quality of camera is, that is not what the purpose of using these equipments, I like to know: #1 how ridgid the cable is ? if I want to shove it through drain pipe that is already clogged by tree root at 60 feet point down underground? #2 can I shove the cable through few bends at over 30 feet when its down the pipe ? #3 does the head of camera really water proof and how it holds after using it for couple of years ? #4 Does those locators really works to locate underground A.B.S, PIPE, PVC PIPE, CLAY PIPE, CAST IRON Pipes when they are buried over 2-3 feet under the ground ? I know I can't except these Chinese made inspections cameras to work as good as $6000 well known brands inspection camera but I just Don't want to waste my money either and more so looks ridiculous in front of my clients when using these cameras in their house's underground pipe when its clogged with three root or any other objects.Again this comment is not directed to you specifically, I really appreciate your clip and on that respect, I am going to hit subscribe and like your clip, but this comment is for who ever read my comment and can really answer them. Thanks

1. I mentioned in the video that the cable isn't super rigid and that they do have one that has a more rigid cable and they should've sent me that one. 2. I also mentioned that it won't handle 90 degree angles at all. You'd need a smaller camera. 45 degree angles should be fine though regardless of how rigid the cable is, but again... they sent me the cheaper model. 3. It is waterproof which I didn't demonstrate, but how long it'll hold up is anyone's guess. If you get it from Amazon, I'd recommend buying the extra protection through Amazon during checkout. 4. I would say yes to this. It's really sensitive, and it was in my aluminum ductwork. It'll definitely locate it in PVC of any kind, cast iron might have some resistance, but being 2-3 feet underground shouldn't be an issue. I had the sensitivity on almost the lowest setting and it was able to pick it up through several layers of different material, carpet, padding, wood, and aluminum. Hope this helps!

Off topic, I bought that Ryobi electrospray gun. Is the vid for how to clean the HVAC in the works?

Every time he tries to move the camera, you can easily see the cable housing flexing on the screen. To control the direction of travel, the outer cable housing must be extremely rigid. There is nothing else for the inner cable housing to push against in order to control its direction. In short, this product is garbage. What do you think will happen to the system after the non-rigid outer housing gets 3x-5x twisted in the same direction (clockwise/counter-clockwise) a few times?
