For Variety's "Actors on Actors," Saoirse Ronan and Kristen Wiig talked about "Saturday Night Live," finding time to unwind between roles, and more. bit.ly/VarietySubscribe / variety / variety / variety
FoodforThought lol are you literally commenting on everyone’s post and talking down to them, to make your miserable life feel better? How unbelievably pathetic.
That's not true. In the post underneath this one FoodforThought is laughing WITH Istebrak. And he's kind of right about Alex's post; the word 'genius' is being bandied about so much these days that its losing it's true meaning. Commencing an interview with a fake laugh is not genius. But I like it!
well... just be sure that you don’t appropriate that laugh for yourself unless, of course, you’re rich/spoilt AND white. That way we can keep all the labels for everyone juuuuust right.
Maybe it helps to know that initiating a bit of laughing takes away the nervousness at the beginning of a conversation. It's an actor's trick to get in the right mindset.
As someone from Donegal in Ireland I can tell you that a lot of people outside of Dublin find the Dublin accent very grating. There are much nicer Irish accents than a Dubs accent.
Both her parents are from Dublin, she lived in Dublin when she was very young, moved to Carlow for a few years, and lived in Dublin from her early teens. Of course she's been travelling all over the place since she was young for work, so a big influence from her parents accent wise would be inevitable.
At last Saoirse Ronan with her idol Kristen Wiig ,I think Saoirse Ronan must act more in comedy movies.Everyone loves cheerful Saoirse Ronan .There is true life in both these actors
Saoirse Ronan is next Meryl Streep of Hollywood, next all time great actress for her roles and pure natural acting .Ronan might get a minimum of 15 oscars nominations , and for sure minimum 2 oscar wins
Raghavendra Prasad I agree! I loved all the movies I've seen of her. Since she was a child her acting in Atonement was brilliant. She deserves the Oscar for Lady bird.
@@dachshund_gaming dude she's not even a comedian. I'm not sure if she's even done any standup. She has an improv background and is a comedy actress. No need to be snarky.
I have had the honour of meeting Saoirse Ronan not once but twice. The first time was in 2012 in Belfast at a Cinemagic event. From that I had a signed copy of Hanna. The second time was in 2019 when she hosted a Q&A. Having met her on two occasions I can say that not only is she a very talented and gifted actress but also a very lovely, genuine and modest human being.
And I absolutely cannot wait to watch Mary, Queen of Scots. I hope Variety does another Actors on Actors with Saiorse and Margot Robbie...or both together so they can reminisce and share experience of working together in a historical film.
been following Saoirse's career since she was a child, gotta say she seems so much more at ease and relaxed in interviews now. she's grown into such a charming and poised woman!! and i love me some Wiig... an unlikely pair but I'm into it
A lot of these Actors on Actors pairings are so well done. This duo looks like it could produce an amazing mother daughter film with powerful chemistry
I'm so happy Kristen is playing Cheetah in Wonder Woman 84. It's high time her dramatic/"serious" acting got the equal recognition as her comedy. As iconic as her comedic acting is, I feel her talent in other genres of acting doesn't get enough exposure. I'm sure she's masterful in all forms of acting.
A great conversation with Saoirse and Kristen. After watching this I watched saoirse and kate winslet in the video two years ago on variety. So she got the ladybird part after brooklyn.
so cool to see after Saoirse interview about Kristen Wiig being her favorite performer from SNL. I'm loving this trend of SNL fans being able to interview other SNL alums. Like Emma Stone and Molly Shannon from last year
Really great vid and great pairing...love these two! Two real, multi talented talents! Saoirse, you are doing us proud! You both obviously respect each other! Loved watching this!
