As I did enjoy Along the Shadow quite a bit, its a great record but when Beau said that him and Anthony argued about how songs being made to sound traditional (Anthony) or "a,b,c" (Beau) I feel we got a more traditional sounding album which isn't bad but I'm more used to the controlled chaos sound from them. Could have been that and the guitar work seemed a little less intricate.
5:59 When Mr. Green said "we couldve been so rich if i stayed in the band" HE IS RIGHT. Imagine their 2006 album with Anthony singing on it. It wouldve been one of my favorite albums of all time. Damn, it's a shame
imo Anthony >> Cove.... BUT, I think Cove was better for their goals at the time. mainstream success, a more alt rock sound etc... TtN and ..Shadow is better than anything else they've done imo but their other albums got them a ton of recognition and Anthony has a habit of taking things to extremes which would scare away the average top 40 types. think of how many fans Blue Sky Noise got Circa, who were sucker punched by violent waves lol. i think everything worked out exactly how it should have
@@kevinglover9561 I did enjoy the white ep and self titled, which surprised me since I was a huge Anthony fanboy at the time (2006?.. Fuuucck) but cove really brought his all to those two releases. I think he lost some passion as time progressed. But I still have tons of respect for him. Especially his newer stuff
@@k1xnt 100% the Cove era helped me through a lot. I liked when Anthony came back too, it was refreshing to see new material. We are long due for a new album, so I hope Anthony will put a new record out with Saosin and bring so classic vibes. On My Own was a good track, but I think self titled was better than In Search of Solid Ground. When I hear Cove on Saosin tracks, it just takes me back to a time in my life that I love.
