I remember the black child hadith, our famous super intellectual Pakistani athiest made fun of it saying "this is bs haha , there is no chance that a man could have a darker skin child if parents have light skin" and his own fans schooled him on recessive allele and showed him that it is indeed possible and not that rare, it was such a shame for him. Like he is so dumb that he didn't knew about recessive allele but an 7th century man knew it better. He humiliated himself with his own mockery.

Please brother Hijab consider this as well : I’m a postgraduate medical student and I’m planning to major in gyn&ob , and while I was reading about sex determination of the baby and its factors I came across a research that brought to my mind this Hadith in particular and it was rather FASCINATING ! And the research in question concluded that Alkaline environment favors the selection of Y chromosome generally hence it increases the probability of having a boy and vice versa the acidic environment favors X chromosomes hence it’s highly probable to have a girl , and it’s known to lay people not to mention medical students that MALE EJACULATE is Alkaline FEMALE EJACULATE is Acidic So in the light of this prophetic narration it makes absolutely scientific sense and it’s not even problematic from a scientific pov ! . I’m not trying to prove religion using science , I’m fully convinced of your stance on this matter Br.Hijab , All I’m saying is that this narration is NOT EVEN PROBLEMATIC ! May Allah reward you for all your work Br.Hijab and all the people behind the scenes . NB: anyone please , feel free to correct me if you find sth wrong in my comment .

Yes Ahmed, there 2 hadiths variations. One is resemblance and the other is sex of the child. Notice How the prophet couldve said if the male's content dominate, it could've been a "female" not a male. But we know from science that if a males content dominate a.k.a his y chromosome, we know for a fact that it can never be a female. So the prophet is actually correct about the first part of the hadith. Now the second part, if the female's content dominate, there ongoing researches and proven researches that mention that a female's body if controlled to a certain extent, a.k.a her ph, then the child could favour either a male or a female. For example, if the woman has a certain PH she will favour the x chromosome from the father and this the child will be a female. And the vice verse could happen.

@@c5quared626 LOL, Again a stupid "quranist"(probably a disguised liberal) who have no idea how Quran itself was preserved and how much Quran commands us to follow the way of the Prophet(saws), follow his sayings, practices, teachings, living style, etc and accepting what the main body of Ummah has consensus upon as Quran repeatedly ordered. And you here with less knowledge intermixing the linguistic term "Hadith" used in Quran with the terminology of science of Preservation of Quran and Sunnah which came at the time of Sahaba & taba'in(means later generation) and they are two very *different* things. This important knowledge was passed generation to generation through authentic, most trustworthy and renowned scholars who were literally the students of Prophet(saws) himself, the noble companions of Prophet, then Khair ut taba'in, taba-tabain; and in between too they themselves preserved knowledge by writing down their own many "mushaf"- works which are still preserved but they were more famous and great at oral traditions bcz they were world famous for it and were exceptional, they spend their whole of their lives to preserve the knowledge of Islam until next generation scholars(whose hadiths collections are very famous today) who literally learned from those previous generations only, where Allah made "papers" more accesible and common under early abbasid caliphate who brought it from China, now they decided to write down, organize & save every authentic, unauthentic most reliable knowledge they've preserved till then coz it was necessary for whole of Ummah to have access to it as per the Quran's commandments, so the Ummah doesn't get deviated from the path of the Prophet(Saws), His proper interpretations of Quran, events of revelations of Quran, understaning of Salaf as-saliheen, rulings that Prophet(saws) and Khulfa e Rashideen preached, etc. and so the "Science of the ahadith" came into play - they saved work with all the chains of transmissions to distinguish between authentic, unauthentic, weak, strong, fabricated,etc. chains; and all those transmitter's much of the data like lifes, events, meetings, testimonies, etc. is known to us even today, in the works like Asma ul rijaal. We can still verify and testify the authenticity of Ahadith which goes back to the blessed lips of our beloved prophet(saws), in a similar way Allah preserved the Qira'at of Qur'an except it's way more precise and accurate.

@Sohailkhan-zw1gl
@Sohailkhan-zw1gl 3 года назад
I think u haven't the watched the video then , Muhammad hijab in the very beginning explained the word "ejaculation or fluid" is nowhere to be find in the Arabic text. The hadith is "whoever dominates" , and yeah the nature(acidic or basic) do influence the gender of the kid. Even if u take the hadith in the context of "sex" instead of "looks" and in the context of fluid or ejaculation, it will suit that too bcz of the below mentioned article, but bcz this hadith doesn't mention "ejaculation or fluid" so we are nowhere bound to follow this interpretation , Mohammed hijab chose the "whoever dominates ( in genes )" narrative bcz of the other hadith where prophet explained the recessive allele thing to that sahabi, pointing towards the fact that he was talking about genes not necessarily of ejaculation. www.healthline.com/health/fertility/how-to-have-a-boy#medical-interventions.

The individuals accusing Mohammad Hijab of "acrobatics," clearly have a very rigid, unrefined, and unsophisticated conception of linguistic anthropology, and their expectations are unjustified and absurd. To them, unless the Prophet (pbuh) had stated "The child acquires phenotype characteristics as a result of alleles, which are variants of genes from both parents. Certain traits are dominant, thus, they will determine the phenotype characteristics of the child, come back next week so I can tell you about the concepts of homozygous and heterozygous genes," then it cannot speak about genetics. The Prophet, obviously, will speak to people in a language that reflects the time, environment, cultural ethos, and understanding of the people. The term "fluid" will encompass sperm, egg, and genes in totality within that understanding. The Prophet has stated that " I am blessed with the ability to speak the least that is imbued with the greatest level of meaning." I am paraphrasing, but yes we are perfectly justified to interpret Hadiths and Qur'an with the change of knowledge. To not do that is itself absurd and uncalled for. Mohammad Hijab is not the only one to draw this conclusion. Jamal Badawi was presented with this hadith who read it in an impromptu manner and he also stated that "the word used is DOMINATE" and not "first."
@bringemyoungpbuh4123
@bringemyoungpbuh4123 3 года назад
It is clearly acrobatics. It is not the water that dominates, but the genes encoded in the DNA. No matter how much twisting you do, it is still wrong and unscientfic. Only those desperate to defend Islam will believe this is explanation from Hijab is true. The rest will just laugh at the silliness of it all. نَزَعَ literally means Disarmament. In the context it means - to discard, to extract, to pull out, to remove, to strip, to take off, to throw off, to unhook, to unplug, to wrench, to peel off. You have to do back flips to make it mean dominant. Sad.

The more common narration of this hadith says resemblance is determined by whether the man or woman's maa (water i.e. Semen) sabaqa (precedes, as in winning a race) the other rather than 'ala (on, upon) the other. This exact idea is found also in the Talmud: "If the woman emits her semen first she bears a male child; if the man emits his semen first she bears a female child;"
@MrSuperman957

It looks like the opposite in Talmud first of all. Secondly the version you talked about can be interpreted differently. Thirdly the Hadith talks about resemblance not necessarily gender. The similarity with Talmud isn’t actually that much. Such similarity can easily be a result of coincidence.

The whole premise of Br Hamza Tzortzis creating the Sapience channel was to disassociate the predominant mentality of Muslims reading between the lines and trying to create an artificial association between Islam and science. But lately Br. Hijab is trying to do the same old Islam & science thing by trying to validate hadith with science. When you people have clearly explained it is a flawed methodology, why go back and do the same science-Islam exercise?

@@propheticguidance7842 by trying to show that the particular hadith isn't in conflict with science he is essentially giving importance to the phenomenon of juxtaposing Islam and science. How to answer the Atheistic point that Richard Dawkins often make that: "you are Muslim becayse you were born in a Muslim country, if you were born in India you have been Hindu... Etc"?
@krepetepenpepedeper836
@krepetepenpepedeper836 3 года назад
We live in different countries, social atmospheres, regions etc. We all have free will and the ability to think for ourselves. If you are born in a Muslim country it doesn’t mean that you will become Muslim automatically. However , you will be more exposed to Islam and therefore take interest in it and practice it. Dawkins is subjective, just like everyone else. The best thing would be to look things objectively and seek the truth. How come that he is an atheist and not a Christian? He was born and brought up in a Christian household. The same argument can be given - you are only atheist as you were born in a Christian country as most atheists are from Christian countries (especially in the west). Or the Chinese are atheist because they were born in China - therefore their belief is wrong. The arguments are invalid but it may have some truth in that as you are more exposed to the religion. A convert could say - if it was not for the internet or this time and age (due to exposure of Islam), I would not have become Muslim. Just because you are something does not mean your beliefs are wrong. If you let’s say were born in India and was a Hindu, you still have the freedom to think as objectively as possible and change religion. Same way ideas and theories can be changed based on experience, knowledge and other factors.

I'm not convinced even if the hadith is proved to be 100% sahih that anything scientific is meant by it. It could be just common sense and observation. But how may cases are there of recessive genes, many generations old suddenly appearing ? It must be an extremely rare case. In any case, the child would still resemble the mother and father in some way , e.g. ears, nose , lips etc. The hadith does not mention this? When the Qur'aan does speak of genetics, we have the verse '..created He, the two of a pair, the male and the female from a drop of sperm...' Scientifically this is linked to XX and XY, thus the Qur'aan maintains what is know through science today, gender is determined by the male sperm cell.

If you said the Arabic word used doesn't refer to discharge, so help me answer the following: Did Muhammad at the time spoke the right Arabic word when giving the answer? if yes than would you consider that it was a wrong translation collected by those who eventually wrote the Hadith? [this will open the danger of having a contradiction which Surah 4:82 goes against] if however you say Muhammad spoke the word which means ejaculation ... than ...did Gabriel gave the wrong revelation to Muhammad? or Shaitan interrupted the revelation [Surah 22:52] and Allah eradicated

None. He clearly said it was the fact that the Arabs at the time understood it that way even though there is another word for ejaculation used multiple times in the Qur’an and Ahadith. Unlike English, there are more words in Arabic that mean something specific, depending on the context since Arabic is a very high-context language.

. Aïcha* dit alors : "Ummu Sulaym, tu as déshonoré les femmes ! Que tes mains soient dans la terre !" Ummu Salama** dit alors : "Messager de Dieu, cela se produirait-il ? La femme aussi émettrait-elle du liquide ?" (Muslim n° 313).

The fact is that the quran has not been perfectly preserved, just ask Yasir Quadi. According to Abu Musa, Momos companion, chapters of the quran were lost because Muslims didn't recite them enough. Sahih Muslim 2286. Now, why would a fellow Muslim make this up? Ubayy ibn Ka'b, states, Abu Ubaid, Kitab Fada'il-al-quran, that there are hundreds of verses missing from the Quran. Why would another companion of Momo make this up? Momos top reciters couldn't even agree on which verse should be in the quran. (ibn abi dawud, kitab al-masahif). In case you were wondering why even Yasir Quadi thinks perfect preservation is ridiculous, that's why.

@Ahmed Yusof Ok, so what you said addresses one of my points only. You haven't even bothered to quote the other two so as of now the Quran hasn't been perfectly preserved. Oh, and you want me to take a class from Muslim scholars? Ok, how about famous Muslim scholar Yasir Quadi? "The standard narrative has holes in it." "This should not be discussed among the masses, it's not wise". Umm, thanks? Now to address your point, "Umar bin al-Khattab asked about a verse of Allah’s book, they answered: ‘It was with a man who got killed on day of Yamama (battle)’. He (Umar) said: ‘We all shall return to Allah’. Then he ordered to collect the Quran, therefore he was the first one who collected it in one book.” (Kanz ul Ummal, Volume 2, p. 574) And: Umar was once looking for the text of a specific verse of the Qur’an he vaguely remembered. To his deep sorrow, he discovered that the only person who had any record of that verse had been killed in the battle of Yamama and that the verse was consequently lost. (Ibn Abi Dawud, Kitab al-Masahif, p. 10 - see also as-Suyuti’s al-Itqan fi ‘ulum al-Quran, volume 1, p. 204) " This addresses your point because even if scholars supposedly agreed on Uthman's quran (which they didn't but I don't feel like debunking), then they agreed that verses had still been lost forever. Soooo, Muslim scholars also are telling me that verses of the Quran are lost forever!? Because Muslims died in war?? Sweet, now I'm even more far from Islam. Good advice. Oh, and btw, they're hundreds of more examples of Muslim apologists saying verses have been lost, but I wouldn't want to spam up this chat.

@Ahmed Yusof Ohhh, by abrogation, that was your way of explaining why we have chapters and verses missing from the Quran. "Pay attention the verses Were abrogated In the life of the prophet (Saw) but there were times where People dind’t know. The sahaba told Them and then they left those verses." So, there was the eternal speech of allah, then the companions of mohhamed said, or mohamned said, "Hey, you know that thing in the quran? Well, it's stupid, and let's remove it take it back. Let's abrogate it. I think no one saw it, so we're cool." Cool prophet, and cool holy book. Sounds like early muslims wasn't even sure what should and shouldn't be in the eternal speech of allah, or what should be removed and "abrogated". I'm not agreeing that everyone agreed on the quran from uthman, but I am taking your claim, taking it for a test drive, and look where we got lol. So the quran momo preached, not all of it is here because the companions of momo said so. I could go on refuting that the companions of the quran agreed on the one by uthman, but I don't care because you admitted the verses from the quran, the eternal speech of allah has been 'abrogated'. Thanks, we agree friend :)

@Ahmed Yusof Lol, nice excuse to get out of having to refute what I said. The fact is, you agreed that verses and chapters of the Quran are lost, but you spend your time making excuses for this. Like the companions said it was ok, therefore it is ok. I pointed out this is ridiculous, then you left the conversation. May Jesus open your heart to the truth. All Islam has to stand on is the quran, and how could this be the eternal speech of allah, with no errors, when allah couldn't even preserve that original narrative? Jesus died on the cross for you, don't you know?

Please provide with references when giving proof I think that is very important, especially with videos like these. The first hadith which found talking about this is the following; Umm Salama told how Umm Sulaim said, "Messenger of God, God is not ashamed of the truth. Is any washing necessary for a woman when she has a sexual dream?” He replied, "Yes, when she sees signs of liquid.” Umm Salama then covered her face and said, "Messenger of God, does a woman have sexual dreams?” He replied, "Of course she does. In what way does her child resemble her?” (Bukhari and Muslim.) Muslim added in the version of Umm Sulaim, "The man’s liquid is coarse and white, the woman’s fine and yellow, so the resemblance comes from the one which prevails or comes first.” sunnah.com/mishkat:433, also see sunnah.com/ibnmajah/1/334 This talks about a women’s liquid being fine and yellow - which determines the resemblance. Genes are not “fine and yellow” and they are definitely not dissimilar depending on gender. Also the other hadith with the camels is hasan and it contradicts the first hadith. If the first preposition is that the dominate gene gets expressed, then there is no possibility for a recessive (or ancestral gene) to be expressed in order to resemble a child. Even if the hadith talked about genes, it is inconsistent with modern knowledge of genetics.

The only yellow liquid is the follicular liquid which contains the Ovum. And judging by the hadith which that states that the man is only created from a tiny part of the fluid, we can conclude that the same applies here. In other words, just like "water of the man" refers to the sperm within the semen, "water of the woman" could refer to the egg within the follicular liquid. "whichever dominates" doesn't necessarily mean "dominant genes" but could refer to simply whichever gene is selected from a parent regardless of recessive/dominant. And it's a fact that if a man's genes dominate, the child will resemble the father more than the mother
@krepetepenpepedeper836
@krepetepenpepedeper836 3 года назад
UnNamed Beast The hadith mentions that the fluid is seen, Follocullar liquid is not seen nor is it “ejaculated”. Also the ovum is free from the follicular fluid when mature, meaning it does not mix with semen. Also as far as my understanding goes “mixed fluid” in the Quran (which would also apply to the hadiths) are talking about semen - which is a mixed fluid. So it is about follicular fluid is out of the question in this case. Your argument about “whichever dominates” is solid and find it a better argument than what Hijab talked about. However, it is not true if paternal genes “dominate” that the child will resemble the father more. We have several thousands genes with result in multiple phenotypes. The majority of genes could be inherited by the father but the child would still more resemble their mother if it happens that the phenotype of visual resemblance/physical appearance is more inclined to a maternal inheritance.

So basically people understood the hadith incorrectly. They understood it as if the man ejaculates first, then the child will look like the father, and if the woman ejaculates first, then the child will look like the mother. But this is not how the hadith is supposed to be interpreted. The correct interpretation is if the substance of the discharge of the man dominates over the woman then the child will appear like the father and vice versa. Clearly this talks about dominant genes where the father's genes dominates over the mother's making the child to appear more like him. This is aligned both in the understanding of the Arabs at the Prophet's time and also aligned with the 21st century understanding of genetics. But it doesn't mean it has to be aligned with science, but it just is aligned with today's science. The Truth only comes from Allah subhana wa ta'ala. InshaAllah you understand.

Isn't it funny that Mi Hijab is against the word "ejaculating" but completely agrees that: there are two fluids which come forth. From a man and from the woman. Look up the tafisrs your choice brothers and there is clearly stated: man's semen produced in the backbone meets woman's semen that is produced in her chest bones (neckless area - aka they breasts are their testies)... further it will inform U that man's "water" is thick and white and woman's "water" is thin and yellow... - well who cares then if "Is the hadith of which parent "ejaculates" first unscientific?" when the whole thing is unscientific from the beginning

Whichever of the fluids dominates and you interpret that to mean whichever genes dominate. That's some acrobatics. If you are going to use gymnastics like that then there is no point trying to refute Islam, you will be told it is conceivable that it means something possibly true. I know there are a lot of islamaphobes but a majority just don't get the level of evidence they would expect for Islam to be true, which is reasonable.

@@schorpioen7466 this hadith is the opposite what those anti islam websites claim. The prophet sallaAllaho aleyhi wa sallam orders us to obey the ruler even if he was a slave. This was something unacceptable in the pre Islamic period. Islam gives right to the slaves even that they can become a ruler.

But mister hijab , I have an objection Narrated Zainab bint Abi Salama: Um Salama said, "Um Sulaim said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Allah does not refrain from saying the truth! Is it obligatory for a woman to take a bath after she gets nocturnal discharge?' He said, 'Yes, if she notices the water (i.e. discharge).' Um Salama smiled and said, 'Does a woman get discharge?' Allah's Apostle said. 'Then why does a child resemble (its mother)?" (sahih bukhari 3328) in this hadith , its super clear that he is talking about nocturnal discharge. because from here its clear that according to prophet child resembles mother because of nocturnal discharge . and nocturnal discharge is not a "GENE" as you mentioned . if he was mentioning about GENE , then why bathing ?? 😂

Umm Salama is clearly asking where women gave wet dreams or not. The prophet answered in the affirmative, giving the reason that children can look like there mothers. He said that because the Arabs thought that the mother didn't have any active role in reproduction. The problem refuted that and said that what happens to the women happens to the man. It's not speaking about the nocturnal discharge, since it actually is clear and not yellow.
