I lived between the middle school and high-school. I have to say that my block, or area for that matter, was hit hard. There are trees with v shapes at the top. It was a big deal that people dont talk about.
I was in a hotel in Sand Springs when this happened. The sirens went off around 12:40 just as I started falling asleep. I walked outside to have a cigarette. There were a few people in the parking lot looking toward the sky. A few minutes later the heavy rain and wind started. What got me nervous was seeing families with their kids huddled in the lower stairway area. I ran up the stairs to wake up my wife and we went down to the lowest level. The tornado never hit the hotel but it was still an experience. This was later reported as an EF-1 at least 1 mile wide.
EviL IrisH no problem. Sorry I couldn’t capture more, I was in a hurry. The neighborhoods did have more trees and debris on the ground then what was shown but I don’t think anybody was badly injured
Cheyanne Moore your right I was in a hurry to be somewhere or I would’ve filmed more...sapulpa was just on the way. Hope everyone is ok I know how scary it was both my sister in-law and grandma were hit by the same tornado. Took half my grandmas roof off
