This was a massive hit back in the day, Sarah Brightman's album "Timeless" was inside every other Christmas wrapping, including mine. It was an amazing album, loved it! It was a period in time when classical music - or "pop-opera" was extremely popular for a while, leading with Brightman, Bocelli, Il Divo and other pop-sounding classical artists. Good times.

Sarah Brightman was the original Christine to Michael Crawford's Phantom in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. She was married to Andrew Lloyd Weber at one time. She also sang at one of the Olympic Games flame lighting ceremonies; I just can't remember which one. Maybe the last one in England as that is where she is from.

I saw Andrea perform live in Seattle on his early U.S.tour. My seat was aligned evenly to the very end of the stage, practically on the stage, and I could see clearly every feature of his face and countenance as he faced the audience and sang so closely to my ears. I was thrilled throughout his performance, and it is a forever memory. Also, I still have the LP which my daughter gave me as a birthday gift she purchased in England of "The Phantom of the Opera" starring Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford. I went to the Belagio in Vegas for a week when it first opened and this was the theme song for that hotel. The huge fountain outside was timed to music. This song always opened and closed the show.

Beautiful song beautiful harmony. Dan Vasc sings this song as a cover with Rehn Stillnight and does a fabulous job. Fun fact…one of Dan’s singing inspirations was Andrea Bocelli. So that should not be a surprise that Dan does a good job with this song also.

Back in the late 1990's and early 2000's was very popular in her solo career, putting on spectacular concerts with both her voice and beauty. Saw her twice with her La Luna tour in 2001, and then again in 2003 with her Harem tour. She was absolutely amazing!

An even better duet with Sarah Brightman on two incredible songs are her duets with Jose Cura "Just Show Me How to Love You" and "There for Me". Jose Cura is even more impressive vocally than Andre. Sarah was once Andrew Lloyd Webber's wife and she originated the role of Christine Daae in his musical "The Phantom of the Opera" in the mid-80's. Since then she has quite a few albums. She sings different styles. While she is not a proper "opera singer", she nevertheless sings pop versions of opera songs that are just incredible. Check out her music "Anytime, Anywhere", "Here With Me ( Dido Cover), "Eden", "Deliver Me", "Seven Seas", "No One Like You", "What a Wonderful World" , "A Question of Honor" (Tom Lord- Algae Mix), "Harem", "Fluers Du Mal", "Angel", and "Running." These songs are from her solo albums that didn't involve Andrew Lloyd Webber music of which she has several and which are also worth listening to "Whistle Down the Wind", "Unexpected Song", and "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" are just a few ALW songs she sings so impeccably. Sarah doesn't get the recognition from America she deserves.
