Sarah is so right and I do the same. Kids shouldn't be spoiled. They should appreciate and work for the things they want so when they are adults they will make smart choices.
People have often tried to judge SJP as if she's actually Carrie, because she does such a good job of playing her, but she has always seemed to me to be the most kind hearted, humble person who appreciates the smallest things. I refuse to believe she'd be anything other than that.

She’s incredible. So humble and so beautiful inside and out. I love what she said about withholding things from her children that they yearn for, so that when they achieve it, it will have so much more meaning to them. Someone who is simply handed things casually, will never know the true feeling of winning or achieving something you’ve always wanted.
I really respect her. She may not be beautiful but she has a good head on her shoulders and obviously smart and hard working to have lasted so long in an industry that is driven by looks.

It also depends so much on adults who can steer you through it. Poverty is a totally different experience with a loving, conscious parent. But is gruelling and grinding and wears people down.
Just curious. What is her appeal??? I always thought that the media was hard on celebs who are not attractive, but they seem to love her. She is very eloquent and warm and sweet. But, she doesn't have that quintessential look of beauty that Hollywood usually looks for. She doesn't have that look, yet she is popular. No one actress is accepted in the way Sarah Jessica is. WHY?
Jojo Jo why not? She's shown great talent in her acting work, earning the respect of her peers and adoration by many fans. Despite your obvious feeling that she isn't an attractive woman, to myself and many, many others THIS is what an attractive woman looks like. She's also a fashion darling, with countless big name designers wanting to dress her. That's because of the way she carries herself as an educated and cultured woman. To me, there is nobody like her because of these things. But also, a bit of compassion goes a long way too, just look up all her charitable work.
