I have great memories of eating canned sardines with my dad when I was a kid. He's been gone for many years now, but just the sight of sardines brings a smile to my face. :>)
People asking about "why those worker not wearing gloves ?", you don't have to worry since canned sardines are pasteurized and sterilized after canning process are finished, and gloves doesn't mean free of bacteria, the glove itself can be contaminated by bacteria and parasites.
Joe Black No, sharts from the oily ones, don't forget to leave the tidy whities at home when having them. Better yet leave them at a friends house, LOL, let them deal with them.
I thought the comment section would be "sardines are gross!!", but I'm very surprised at all the comments saying that they are good. Maybe I should try them.
FuchsiaMuffin They are really good! I get the skinless boneless in olive oil. Just make sure you read the box/can. Make sure it's certified and BPA FREE wild caught. Some Chinese companies are not regulated.
FuchsiaMuffin You should definitely try them. I keep them even in my office. A very healthy and quick snack. I just have to be careful not to spill anything, and to wrap the empty tin in plastic before throwing it in the rubbish bin.
"and to wrap the empty tin in plastic before throwing it in the rubbish bin." Yeah there's nothing more stinky than an unwashed, unwrapped sardine tin. My wife didn't mind me eating sardines on two conditions 1, wash and wrap the tin and 2 DON"T kiss me till you've brushed your teeth. :-)
My dad is Moroccan, and nothing taste as good as fresh Moroccan fish with the tomato and potatoes...don’t know the name of the dish but u probably get what I mean sahbi
thank you.youre all welcome to visit morocco and eat sardines and we have also worlds best bread, olives, oranges, mint tea, greetings from casablanca-morocco
Its inexpensive and actually a superfood with multivitamins and minerals , accompaanied with bigh quality protein and omega 3 fatty acids .. the only drawback is that it contains fair cholesterol
Karpov, are you trying to make fun of yourself? What are you talking about? Bones of the fish most specifically the sardines can easily digest inside our body. It is delicate, tasty and healthy to eat.
Watching this as I'm chowing my sardines in tomato sauce (much less calories than pure oil). Super high in omega 3, and about 5-10 times the minimum daily amount per 100g. These things are tasty and super healthy!
The best sardine sandwich: Sardines, spicy brown deli style mustard, and spring mix (or mixed salad green of your choice), on wheat toast. Simple and awesome.
It's ramadan, I'm fasting and I don't know why I clicked on this video, perhaps I'm craving sardines hahah I will buy some to eat after breakfast this evening 💪🏻
Always loved sardines! Came here wondering how do these canned fish stay so fresh.. the Philippines makes really good canned ones with drenched in tomato sauce or corn oil (especially if it's spicy!) yummm and its filling. One of the best fish in the world.
Sardines a nice, fairly nutritious and easy to cook with as well as having a ton of great recipes. Great thing for students provid8ng you can stand the smell.
why is it so damn hard to get plain sardines like these in Asia. Seriously, it only comes in tomato sauce and nothing else. I want plain one with just oil like these damnnit
p0331546 u can get them in fancy supermarkets....but they are _really_ expensive. Usually canned sardines in asia orginate in asia, so if you want the ones tinned in olive oil you'd have to look for the europe imports
Bro, Im in Asia (Currently backpacking in the Philippines) too and literally every supermarket here has these in every varieties. Sardines in olive oil, sardines in corn oil. They have levels of spiciness too. They even have ones in those fancy mason jars instead of tins. You can find em in every major supermarkets down to convenient stores. They even sell other types of fishes in oil like Saba (Mackarel), Tunas (skipjack and yellow fin) and Milkfish.
Soybean oil defeats the point of eating fish, because the inflammatory crap oil competes in the body with Omega-3. You'd be better off getting them in water or EVOO (which in most cases is probably fake EVOO, anyway)-- so just water, then. I'm kinda brand-loyal to Wild Planet, right now. The quality kicks the shit out of the two other brands I tried (Trader Joes and Chicken of the Sea). No contest. Wild Planet is WAY fresher.
Jolie Me too. The larger sardines like these usually are packed in tomato sauce. At least it's the only way I've seen them. They were my dad's favorite. My favs are the little smoked ones (kippered?) about 19-22 per tin in olive oil. Love them since I was a child. With fresh crusty bread dipped in olive oil, a varied salad (no iceberg lettuce plz), fresh fruit. And let's not forget a hoppy IPA or a bottle of Liebfraumich (Kabinet) wine. F**king gastronomical heaven on earth!
Lester Luczak Dearest Lester, I tried my first tin of olive oil kipper and as I savored it, I felt bummed that I missed out for 30 yrs! Thanks, it was divine. I ate it with jasmine rice, I remembered I didn't have crusty bread to pair it with, maybe next time.😃
Best sardines are Norwegian King Oscar double layer slightly smoked ones, in extra virgin olive oil. Best eaten with buttered dark rye bread, red onion rings and freshly grounded black pepper. For a drink, I recommend an icy cold vodka... cheers
@@norbertschmitz3358 Norway and morocco both are on the north Atlantic ocean, both have the same specie of sardine, it's called "European pilchard". the only difference is that morocco is the first producer of the European pilchard in the world.
I have many happy memories of consuming these. Btw what is the shelf life of sardines and do they vary between being packed in water vs oil? By shelf life, I'm not referring to what the supermarkets say, as that is mostly for the own inventory purposes and is usually very short.
Such an awesome snack! Very healthy, with Omega 3 properties! Love them. I’m in the Air Force and I traveled to Portugal many times and some of the best sardines were prepared.
In Morocco, barbecue with salt only. We serve them with lemon and some lives. Delicious ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FNldY7004tc.html
I'm eating morocco's Sumaco sardines right now. I'm wondering why the bones are so tender. That's why I'm here watching this video. I still don't know how they made the bones so tender and the flesh still stays intact.
@@jmowreader9555 to answer your question even if a little late, in the course of the process the Sardinians are emmerger in a salt brine plus water, it allows a better preservation and also game on the tandreter of the flesh and the bone thus precooking which precedes sterilization reinforces this tendreter, I hope to answer your question

Saying you have the best fish is a lot like saying your shit stinks the least...... Why are you getting so triggered anyways? let me guess you too are from there.......
@@snarkymcsnarkles3493 these guys are morrons but its true the safi region got the best tasting fish 100km away sardines taste like crap and dont remind me of imported fishes i had probabely farmed its like eating sand doesnt even have the sea smell
actually as in any other fish they can be over fished with using better methods to fish more cheaper, as companies usually do. It might take a while, but they can be depleted.
Moon.... ^ Talk about pot calling the kettle black. Any fish can be over fished idiot. We humans are very capable of making animals go extinct. As for the other idiotic comments claiming demand isn't going up, why don't you look at statistical data on the industry before making idiotic conclusions? It's not about being a tree hugger, it's about acknowledging something is possible and taking steps to protect an industry. So many mouth breeders everywhere.
I believe he was using sarcasm to draw attention to an important point. The people in 2049 will be smart, maybe they'll figure something out. (Seafood is predicted to 'run out' in 2050) As demand stays the constant and supply goes down the price will rise, making fish farms a more enticing alternative. Of course to save the ocean, strict regulations will have to be enforced before then.
