After spending two weeks on a solo trip to Barcelo, I explored Playa Del Carmen extensively using your video recommendations, particularly loved El Fogon, FAH, and Oasis Seafood. I had a blast checking out the murals marked on your map, and the people and surroundings were fantastic. I even visited Cozumel for a day, following your walk-throughs and videos. On the return ferry, I sat at the back, enjoying the open-air seating with locals, and we all sang along to the incredible Spanish music provided by a singer on board. It was a great vibe as the sun set on the day. I have a suggestion for a future video topic - Shopping. I visited Cozumel, 5th Ave, my resort, and the markets in Cancun, but I found that they all sold the same mass-produced items. The same core items were sold not in every area but every single shop. 5th Ave was way longer that I could have imagined but every store had the same stuff over and over again. None of the merchandise felt authentic, handmade, or well-made. Additionally, some of the shops seemed a bit dodgy, and the prices for silver were excessively high. As you guys are local, I believe a video highlighting the best shops, authentic items to purchase, and fair prices would be extremely helpful for some ones next visit. Cheers!

Hola Stephen! 🙌 Thank you for watching and commenting. 🙏 How was Barceló? Would you recommend it? Awww, thank you so much! We're thrilled that our recommendations have a big impact on people's travels. 🤩 Absolutely, it's a fantastic suggestion, and we wholeheartedly agree with you. Many stores on 5th Avenue sell similar products. We'll conduct some research and consider including shopping in one of our videos. Thank you again for your support, amigo.

We just came back from Playa del Carmen. The Sargassum is a little annoying but the beach is only a part of why you go there. If we just wanted a beach, we would go to PCB in Florida. Also, the smell is not that bad. It reminds me of a paper mill and only when you are close to it. We still used the beach but only entered the water in the areas where it had been cleared. We had a fantastic time.

Hey Greg 😊😊 We're so glad that the sargassum didn't get in your way and you guys all had a great time here! I agree, there's so much more to Quinana Roo than just its beaches 🌴 Luckily most of the big hotels are getting the sargassum cleared daily, so that definitely helps to make the water more pleasant 🙏 Thanks so much for watching!

Just discovered your channel yesterday and I love it. We have been in PDC a few times and in Cancun, we love the area. It is nice to see videos of the many places we have been. This past year I went to Puerto Morelos for the first time and already have reservations to spend a week there in January in the Grand Residences. I can’t wait to go back. Love Tulum and Chichen-Itzá, the down side is how hot it is even in January. The best thing is to stick by the water and go into town in the evenings.

*Hola Griss* 🫶 Thank you so much for watching our video, we hope it has been helpful and entertaining 🙏. We've travelled extensively to the entire State of Quintana Roo and other parts of Mexico. We love PM is one of our favourite beach towns in the region. Yeah, it's hot but believe us it's the best weather of the year at least for us 🫢. Exactly, so you do not get very sunburnt and tired and can enjoy the evenings 🤩. Thank you for watching and we send you all the great vibes ❤️🙌

@@ForTheRoadTravels Hi, I have a suggestion. If Simone has learned some Spanish you should try to make some videos in Spanish. I think your content is great but if you can make videos in Spanish you will get a lot of subscribers from Spanish speaking countries that may not be able to follow you due to language. Best of luck. ❤️

@@grisellecc5807 Hola Griss, Yes, she's getting better with her Spanish, and I try to push her to have some Spanish interaction, but making full videos in Spanish considering our viewers demographics (based on our data) is only 10% of our audience, and the YT Spanish market is quite saturated. But thank you so much for the suggestion and definitely I personally going to push her more to have more Spanish talking in our videos 🤭🫶. Thanks for watching 🙏

I have to ask because I wish I was doing exactly what you guys are doing (traveling and living abroad). Maybe this is a bit of sensitive question but how do you guys make a living to afford your lifestyle in Playa del Carmen? Any tips for someone wanting to pursue a similar life style?
@ForTheRoadTravels
@ForTheRoadTravels Год назад
Hola Eduardo 🤗🤗 Absolutley, we always wondered how people made money online too 🙏 We're making money from RU-vid adsense, affiliate income and the occasional photography/videography job 😊 In all honesty, we haven't quite mastered the income side of content creation just yet, and have had to work MANY MANY hours to get where we are, but the sacrifice of living on a tight budget in order to create a life of complete time and financial freedom is 100% WORTH IT! We'd recommend dedicating your free time to learning and practicing new skills, so you can then turn those skills into online income 😊 We'd also recommend saving up as much money as possible, while growing a side hustle, until you've got enough to momentum to go full-time 🙏 Investing in courses and mentors is important, but you can learn so much from RU-vid for free 🫶

I went in one last year, but have since heard they were used as sacrificial sites, and the remains of people's bones lie at the bottom, is this true?
@ForTheRoadTravels
@ForTheRoadTravels Год назад
Hola Kirstie! 👋 This practice is believed to have occurred during pre-Columbian times as part of their rituals to worship certain gods. In fact, explorations have uncovered human bones and precious artifacts, such as diamonds, in Cenotes. However, the ones we have visited have been adapted exclusively for tourism. Thank you for watching and commenting 🙏🫶

@ForTheRoadTravels

Cenotes are inherently cold because the water comes from underwater tunnel systems, but the closed cenotes, like the first one we showed, are especially cold because they receive zero sunlight 🫣🌴
