Sargeist Retrospective 

I was addicted to drugs and alcohol for years and have always loved hard rock and heavy metal but more of an Alice in Chains style sound . But once I got clean and sober I was mysteriously drawn to black metal. The genre and sound as a whole. My sobriety music.

Very nice summary of one of the greatest Black Metal bands ever, and for me The King of Finnish Black Metal. It would have been great if you could add *Unbound* to this video but anyway it was released after this video was put on RU-vid.

'Satanic Black Devotion' is a classic album 👌 they have just got better and better. 'Let the Devil in' is also an amazing album.

That "Enslaved inspired" riff in the title track of Satanic Black Devotion is a blatant rip-off of Gorgoroth's "Krig". The riff is damn near identical.

A little fun fact the got the name from a rotting Christ song called "old coffin spirit" and its on the demo called "Passage to Arcturo"

I usually really hate Finnish metal bands, but Sargeist fucking rules.

Personally I prefer the early to mid Behexen stuff a tad over Sargeist. Just a lot more savage to me

In my opinion Darkthrone (the early black metal albums) is way better than Sargeist. I don't even find Sargeist to be a really good band. I enjoy some songs by them but overall I find them a bit boring.

Satanic black devotion is a classic bm album from start . . to finnish Seriously, disciples of the henious path, let the devil in, the rebirth of a cursed existence. All awesome finnish bm. Gotta shout out horna behexen and satanic warmaster too. Even noenum, warmoon lord, azazel, goatmoon, vultyrium/sadokist. Finland is a stronghold for black metal and I'm extremely grateful for everything I've found from that county
