Mega cool done, just a little bit pale pics because older.....but THE Songs of MAIDEN are fine and will be fine 4 ever ..... Also Maiden has A Signiture ....as many others 2 Thank U 4 This!
I never comment, dude ur either trolling or,,, hopefully i didnt warch long enough for u to say at the end "they (he) is next level" one of te best bm bands period, us or not 🙏
Ray Alder is a very good singer, but John Arch is an absolute outstanding singer. Nobody (except maybe Geoff Tate from old Queensryche) hits the higher tones like John Arch does. His falceto is mind blowing. Listen to the "Winter ethereal" album of Arch/Mattheos. His voice is unique, I even love his "na, na, nanana, na nana" singing on the best fates warning album ever: Awaken the guardian! the power ballad "Guardian" is probably my giant song not only from FW, but amongst all metal songs I ever heard. Ray is nice to listen to, Arch is stunning!
Wheels of steel what the album that got me into rock, I only listened to instrumental stuff, Tomita, Vangelis, and then someone played me motor cycle man, and at last I have something in common with Lars. 😋😋
I’ve attempted to write a song using a Bolt thrower influence and had to toss it out. Their sound is so unique it’s extremely difficult to implement their arrangements and riffs without sounding like a ripoff. That’s a testament to their original sound
I agree with your review of Parallels. It was a hit or miss album. I'm glad you like Disconnected. Its an overlooked album in their catalog. Still Remains is Top 10 Fates for me. I like both singers. It's Art, so I don't really compare. They both had their highlights. What do you think of the latest album, Ling Day, Good Night? I think it's a return to form.
I saw these guys back in the day on Vine street in Hollywood!! Had to be late 80,s early 90,s. The heaviest most powerful band I have ever seen. The PA actually caught on fire ! 🔥 not kidding literally did ! They are the most original band I have ever heard also. Something very theatrical and different about these guys. I have always been addicted to there sound. I love and appreciate you guys very much. I’m also from Florida!!
Whale and Wasp is awesome. One of the best instrumentals I’ve heard. Corrosion of Conformity has an instrumental in every album. All are crazy fantastic. I love a good instrumental. I love Alice In Chains ❤️
First saw them in maybe 1990 in a pub in Birmingham. What a day. never been so wrecked lol. Those once loyal is the best album for me. The title track is my Remembrance Day prayer. Just brilliantly worked.
Black Mountain Side on here is kinda crazy. Not cuz ur opinion, but cuz i don’t see it as an actual song. I’ve always seen it as the ending of Your Time is Gonna Come.
Hey, so Sean Kinney was dating Mike Starr's sister and they became friends and wanted to start a band. Then Jerry Cantrell needed a place to stay & met the other 2 guys & stayed with them at this music place for disenfranchised kids. The last guy to join was Layne Stanley. They even held fake auditions to try to convince him to join, since he was already in another band. Correct me if I wrong. I like the concert footage and your critiquing of their masterpieces!
Music taste is acquired in a progressive way? Interesting, my music taste progression wasn't as linear as you described, but I must admit it is a nice way to introduce extreme genera.
20:50 IN fact the Egyptians, Minoans and Etruscans and the gods of Olympus have A LOT in common with the Atlantis (which sank about 12 000 years ago in a war between Atlantians and the Blue race - the gods of India who lived in what is now the Gobi desert - also destroyed).
Ppl consider "Mercenary" polarizing? This is one of my favorite of their albums because it is so easy to listen specially when I work, it fills everything all the time so you don't have to listen to anything around you and flows really easy.
I went to their concert in the Superdome back in 86,Wasp opened up for them. One of the best shows ive ever been to and ive been to a lot growing up in La..
I cannot express how much this band has changed my life as a musician and composer I did cover many of their songs, solo and live with 3 bands years ago, my favorite band of all time ♥
Finally, someone who stands up for "Crusader" I wore that cassette out back in the 80s and to this day, it remains my favorite from Saxon. There are NO bad Saxon albums and their monster discography is second to none. The band is still blasting out metal anthems and absolutely destroy playing live. "Give us the stage, turn on the lights, fire up the sound: We'll rock the nations!!!"
