Monster run Josh! Well done mate! What a cracking achievement! That ached away product looked pretty interesting. I could use something like that one my legs today. Keep on smashing it mate! 😎🤘🏻
Very impressed with your 1st time F/D Josh. Did you enjoy Jacob's Ladder 2nd time around ? I did AEE summer day, July 2018 & recorded a temp of 30 c on the watch. I managed that one in 3h 35m carrying 35lb's & food & water. Happy with that, I decided to do the Winter 2019 High Moon. Temp hit -15c with thick fog & a mild wind. 3h 40m for that version. I'd say that winter is more of a challenge due to visibility, you know what the "paths" are like. And you deviate from the day F/D by starting down on the bigger car park. You climb a slightly easier pathway to the top, turn right & run along what is virtually a cliff edge. Then you descend down a frozen solid waterfall (steep as hell) before hitting RV 2 which puts you back on the familiar return leg used during the day event. So that's Jacob's Ladder in darkness with added ice. I was 51 & 52 years old for the respective runs so I got a 10lb reduction in weight bearing. If you haven't tried the High Moon, I preferred it as it kept you cooler, actually frozen to the core. This coming year I'm doing summer High Moon as it's good visibility, perfect temperature, lighter winds, & it gives you a chance to do a PB. PS: The camera work was superb. Thoroughly enjoyed your video. Well done sir.
