That's was very helpful to see the precision container combined with an underlying image... looks very nice. Would love to one day have Dynamic drop down boxes. This would allow end user to select a metric/dimsion of an object. This can be accomplished with parameters and calculated fields but seems more cumbersome than need be.

Thanks again for your feedback on this video. In order to suggest that the developers consider implementing Dynamic drop down boxes, we have the SASware ballot Forum where you can post your suggestion. The developers review these suggestions and suggestions from the ballots have been implemented in the past. Here's the web site where you can post your suggestion: 2.sas.com/6053zyzpd .

Hi, when you say dynamic dates, you are giving DMY manually, is there a way we can mention year dynamically instead of mentioning 2017 can we do something like -5 which goes back to last 5 years

Kishore, thank you for your inquiry! We are checking on this for you!

Thanks for the question, Kishore! There are a few ways to go about this. The first one that comes to mind is utilizing the filter pane for your object with a parameter. First, create a new numeric parameter data item. Then, create a filter for your object by having it selected and going to the filter pane on the right side. Here, you can add a new filter on your date data item. Once you do this, you can then click the “snowman” icon by the filter to go to “advanced edit”. In this window, you can do a comparison similar to the video, but rather than simply typing in the date like the video, you can add (subtract if the parameter is set to a negative value) the year of interest (say 2017) by the parameter. Note: Try using the “TreatAs” operator to work with numeric or date data item types where you need. Finally, you can add a control object with the aforementioned parameter. This will allow the user to choose the “difference” they’d like. For the 2017 example, the user can slide (or select, depending on your control object choice) -5, and the advanced filter on the object will then show only years after 2012.
