I don't think Rob & Pat fully understand what Sasuke's trying to do. The ENTIRE series, he was finding his "way to endure" (remember Hashirama tells Sasuke a shinobi is one who endures). Once he met Hashirama & the Hokage he came to the realization of the reason his brother did what he did was due to how the shinobi village system was constructed, even if it's clear that it was a better solution that the warring states era. It's a difference in ideals by the reincarnates. As a reincarnate of Indra, Sasuke looks to do things alone and on his own power (just like Madara with his "dreams of the far future" being the infinite tsukuyomi and going back to tear down the village he helped build) whereas Asura's reincarnate in Naruto looks to do things with the help of others (just like Hashirama building the village with different clans joining and with his "dreams of the far future" being to where the shinobi world would have peace). The final fight was NEEDED. In particular, not just because they are the reincarnates but because whoever wins this fight not only in battle but in ideals wins out. Sasuke and Naruto have the power to do whatever at this point. It's essentially necessary that Sasuke and Naruto fight at the end. I know y'all are ahead on Patreon but the next episode kinda points out why

Lady chiyo knew how to combat sasori puppets since she was the one who trained him. Jiraya didn't know anything about pains fighting store and went in blind. Plus he went in only to do recon but got found out before he could make his escape.

Sasori let that last attack hit, Chiyo knew everything up his sleeve, and Sakura designed an antidote just for his poison. Do NOT put Chiyo on Jiraiya's level. Chiyo needed help killing a weaker Akatsuki while Jiraiya managed to beat parts of the strongest member of the Akatsuki. Rob's opinion on officially doesn't matter to people who actually enjoy this series.

Ok Rob I actually agree with you on the pattern thing cuz I had that same thought process! Sasuke literally followed the same pattern they fought so hard to stop! Pain, Obito, Madara, and Kaguya had the EXACT same end goal which was a forced world peace and you'd think that Sasuke fighting to end those ideals would actually change him cuz he sees the outcome of the decision he wanted to make, but then he literally just followed that exact same pattern. It's like one moment they try to treat him like a genius, then the next they treat him like an stubborn idiot. A real genius learns from their mistakes, not repeats the ones they already solved
