@@quentinjones6877 he did get hit, he only substituted out, if you can call it substitution seems more like a backup just in case he can't beat or get away normally from who he's fighting with, because he cut off one of his tentacles. They even made a point to focus on it when it happened to set up the fact if a piece is removed from him he can reform from it, like when Madara took all the tailed beats into the the Gedo statue, and he showed back up out of a tentacle that was left behind by Kakashi when he used kamui on him, to get captured in the infinite tsukiyomi. Because I mean how many people would take notice or even care about a few dropped tentacles from fighting him, so it's a smart move all in all though. Although, I only think it happens when the rest of his body is no longer viable or destroyed. Seems like not enough people either remembered that or put 2 and 2 together in the first place when considering how many people thought he was gone when Madara captured the 8 tails, same thing happens in Boruto with Momoshiki as well.

Yeah, but I'm still sad that this is the best we've ever got to see from Bee. After that he kinda got sidelined from a fighting standpoint, even if he was very important to the plot in helping Naruto.

@@DreamerGalaxius I 100% agree. They still made Naruto out to be the savior with him accessing 9 tails but be is a perfect Jinchuriki able to access 8 tails and it still wasn't good enough. He was the sidekick and I didn't like that at all!

He had some team action with Naruto going on, against Edo-Itachi + Edo-Nagato, also against Obito with the 6 Paths of pain (with 6 Edo Jinchuriki). These were decent, but not amazing, and afterwards he got completely sidelined and was just an occasional support.

Lol bee didnt run from shit he substituted the amaterasu and took zero damage he could have then chased them down and sasuke wouldnt be able to activate his sharingan so he would die and then the rest would die, but bee wanted to drink

He didn't run away whatsoever. He just couldn't be bothered to carry on fighting and plot came to the rescue too. If Sasuke died here then no Boruto and everyone would have become White Zetsu. Sasuke literally died 3 times over in the fight.
