@LiplessWall I have lived without the church in my life! My Mom 👩 was an inactive member of the church! She married outside of the church! After I was born, my parents divorced! My Mom later remarried another nonmember of the church! My step Dad loved me as his own ! As I got older, his family drank heavily, and they smoked 🚬 as well! He watched many churches on tv, and he prayed for a church to join. When he dated my Mom, they drove by the LA Temple and he asked my Mom if she knew what building that was! She said it's my churches Temple. He said I have a strong feeling I will be in that building one day! Time past, and years went by. Many trips to many churches studying 📖 the Bible and praying 🙏🏻 for a church! Finally the missionaries knocked on our door 🚪 we had the lessons and prayed 🙏🏻 some more! The missionaries mentioned things we prayed about the night before. No one told them what we prayed about! We joined the church! We have been involved in the church for many years! 🙏🏻 It has been the greatest blessing of my life! I'm a Temple worker. My husband and I married in the LA Temple as well! I have been everywhere in the Temple! It is a house 🏠 of the Lord's! Everything is about Jesus Christ 🙏🏻 ! Many people make things up about the church it makes them feel better for whatever reason! Some feel our church is too strict, for them to keep! I'm very strong-willed and strong minded! No one can tell me what to do! The church is true and anyone can know if it's true if they pray 🙏🏻 about it!

I went to Utah a month ago and toured around the LDS church. It was weird how most of the members I saw were mainly young women from different countries who tried to engage in talk with me and my friend about the church. They were friendly and not pushy, it seems the mormons changed their sales tactics over the years. Lol Though as a Greek Orthodox Christian, touring around their campus made me sad at how people give their time and energy to a heavily distorted truth of Jesus Christ. If anyone is reading this, I recommend reading the book, The Orthodox Church by Timothy Ware, if you want solid Christian roots to build your relationship with Christ on. May God save us all.

It's almost comical how the LDS elders would suddenly receive a "revelation" when a church policy was deemed either illegal or socially regressive. For example, for decades the LDS church would not allow African American men to hold the priesthood or any position of authority in the temple. This became an issue regarding the LDS church's tax exempt status in the late 70s. Coincidentally, the church authorities and head bishop claimed that God spoke to them, and told them to embrace LDS members who were African American. They always have these "revelations" at the most opportune times.

Amen to her realizations. God, in the garden of Eden said why did you cover yourself with the fig leaf? So they respond Bc Satan told us we were naked and should cover ourselves… God promises an offering that will remove this shame from them and you, so instead of wanting grace, Mormons listen to Satan and put on the fig leaf and remain in guilt and shame and cover themselves with endless meaningless coverings or laws and deeds and words and with what Satan suggested instead of being covered by Jesus which literally means God is salvation. God - not temples nor aprons nor handshakes saves. Only grace saves. etc etc

@attieb316
@attieb316 Год назад
@@inChristalone1960 Exactly! That’s the question I wish all temple goers would ask themselves. The devil has the attendees place an apron on to cover themselves, while God in the Bible says his grace covers them and questions why they would try and cover themselves with fig leaves. The fact that satan is the only personage in Mormonism which claims “priesthoods” is very telling. Two priesthoods are not biblical, and no priesthood power evoked upon males is in the Bible either. Priesthood is merely a group of priests and are the “church” in fact, who are the believers of Christ. Satans power is simply deceit of the ideology of works to try and justify oneself, while Gods truth and power is absolute justification through Christ.

You must have skipped some reading in the Old Testament. Adam was given the priesthood, Temple work was done in Solomons Temple. Prior to that in tents. There was a veil in the Temple where initiatory work was done. Moses and his family had a tent set up as a temple. They covered their heads while in the a temple and were washed. A temple is very basic throughout the Old and New Testament. Washings and ordinations were preformed. My suggestion is when contemplating going to the Temple, read the history of it. Paul in the New Testament talks about being baptized for the dead. Why be baptized for the dead if the dead not rise at all. But they do rise bc Christ makes resurrection possible. So if people are baptized for the dead, that means people who have passed have an opportunity to accept Christ. Because what kind of God rejects his children from his kingdom when they never had the chance to accept Christ in their life through no fault of their own? That is what your family member meant. Now, who has that opportunity is up to God because he can only determine if we have had sufficient opportunity to accept Christ in this life or not.

I respectfully reply to your comment.. By the time we go to the temple we have long since graduated from Primary and beautiful stories of Jesus (no disrespect intended). In the temple we now get to take a deeper look into why we need a saviour. Yes you are correct -- Satan does get a lot of screen time. By the time we get to the temple the hope is that our testimonies are ready to absorb new information. Stuff about the beginning, about other worlds, and about our first parents. Also a deeper look at the adversary and how he, Lucifer, a one time "Son of The Morning", who was admired and esteemed, viciously rebelled and tried to disrupt the divine plan of happiness, and tried to convince us all that his way was better. If something was disturbing to you on your first time to the temple -- good!... ...It was supposed to be. Even to this day sometimes, when I'm tuned in and not dozing off, I squirm in my seat during the heated exchanges between Satan and Heavenly Father and Satan and Peter. Sometimes I sink into deep reflection. I hope you will go back to the temple. And then go again, and again, and again and again. If you do, you will come to see that it's all about our Saviour! The signs, the tokens, they all point to Christ and his atonement -- his at-one-ment. Be well, may the force be with you!

This is the same kind of thought process that caused me to doubt things as well. I've been home from my mission for six years now, and for 5.5 of those years I didn't read anything about church history at all. I just started to kind of ask myself questions, just like these ones. It eventually led me to conclude the church was false (or at least mostly false), and that realization caused me a lot of anguish. It was the studying of church history that eased my turmoil, because it allowed me to know things I didn't know before, and the information made things make sense. In other words, the context allowed me to understand why certain doctrines didn't make any sense, and it made me feel more solid in my decision that it was fake

Expecting that the Church should be led perfectly by imperfect people is always going to lead to disappointment. But if you see the church's restoration as a process rather than a single event, you come to understand how a people needed to be taught line upon line, that prejudices and character flaws opened the church leaders to criticism, it also showed their humanity. God has only ever had imperfect people to work with. The Church has been nurtured through the last 192 years and will continue to evolve and change withnthe times and seasons. Are you?

I struggle with something really hard and I really want to go to the temple and I feel like I'm going to have a similar experience you guys are and it's just going to be a bunch of tears of everything I went through just to get a feeling that it's a cult, and if that's going to happen, that's really scary but I guess I can find out. When I was visiting the temple when it was open to the public, I had to use the restroom, so I got separated from the group and when I came back, my wife was waiting for me and we missed the sealing room. One of the ladies helping people noticed us and said would you like to tour the sealing room, just my wife and me, and so we did and when we both got in there we both broke down in tears cuz we want to live with one another forever. It was a really special moment and the symbolism of the temple is really special and that's why I would like to go there even if that love I feel for my wife that I felt in the temple I have now felt for her almost every day, I would just like to do that for her because she deserves someone that actually wants to keep all those statutes after living a life full of sin and every earthly desire. Because she's been with me and loved me through all that too so I want to be a better person for my wife because she is beautiful and wonderful. Even if it was just a cult I don't think God cares, I just think God wants us to be the best versions of ourself and he told me I should go. The question is how. Only if it's God's will and I choose to follow it but I won't be able to follow it on my own I will need his help there is no way I can do it alone It's not possible without God for me to get to the temple.

Mormonism is more built upon the foundation of a fear of Satan than a love of Christ. The first thing people told me when they learned I'd lost my faith was: "BuT dOn'T yOu BeLiEve iN SATAN?!?" I'm literally not even kidding. I even had an aunt that kept trying to convince me that my house was full of evil spirits so that I would feel inclined to believe in the church again. Not a single person asked me how my connection to God was. Not a single person asked me how I was doing. The first time I told my older brother my situation, his immediate response was to ask me if I believed in Satan. Just immediate judgment and trying to make me feel paranoid. For anyone wondering, my life is literally the exact same as before but less stressed and paranoid. I still don't drink alcohol or coffee or break the LOC, and I'm still conservative. Just less stressed.

What about the millions who live the faith day in, day out, year after year, striving to live the gospel of Jesus Christ and attend the temple as often as they can -- just like Jesus did. You want to know creepy? Imagine the temple in Christs time when they still performed blood sacrifices. I wonder how they dealt with all the blood and feathers and burnt hides and bones from all those sacrifices? But with Christ, the Law of Moses was suspended, and so were blood sacrifices. Now instead, we are asked to sacrifice of our time and energy and our resources to building God's kingdom on earth. We are also to be humble and walk peaceably among men. I believe if you do this, Mormon or not, it will be well with you. May you be well.

I thought that it seemed like a cult. :/ The other things in the temple felt fine to me, but the endowment session was so strange. But we didn't do anything that Satan asked. I think she must be misremembering bc I've never heard of that or seen it myself in any endowment session I've been through. Nothing really bad happens in the session at this point in time, which is I think why most members don't think much of it. But it just doesn't seem like a necessary or legitimate thing. As a teenager in seminary I remembered noticing the endowment from God was a blessing of His spirit upon His people not a temple session. So I was really confused about how these sessions started in the first place.

While in the temple, and the session, I had the worst feeling to come over me. I started crying. Everyone said that I didn't prepare before going in...yet I prayed to know the truth of what I was about to experience. That eventually caused friction with me and my husband as time went on. We also eventually left the church. I miss it. There's so much good in the church, but when man-made things are put in...that you "must know" before entering into the celestial kingdom of heaven...theres a problem. Nah man, Satan basically says - you’re naked make an apron with fig leaves and cover your nakedness, then they pause the video and you cover up with a fake leaf apron at the devils command. The new name thing is kinda strange when everyone who takes out their endowment on a particular day gets the exact same new name for that day. The ceremony and video has changed a ton over the years. I liked the new videos they put out a few years ago, but now that it’s pretty much a PowerPoint w still images it’s a lot less fun. Satan was my favorite part of the videos. The dialog is super corny and cheesy. But the temperature is usually really pleasant and they have really good air circulation and it’s quiet and calm. It can be relaxing. I like how you don’t have to stand up and sit back down as much now.

@@dmangoman ´A name, a name, what's in a name´ :) It's not the name itself, it's what the new name represents - see Topical Guide - Man, New, Spiritually Reborn. Yeah, I'm not a fan of the slide show. I'm old enough to remember when music was added to the video! It was awesome and uncomfortable as the same time - the music was beautiful and moving, but at the same time I was feeling like - I'm not here to be entertained. We quickly got used to it. The presentation of the endowment has gotten "softer" over the years. My eternal companion and I agree - the net result is saints not taking seriously enough the covenants they have entered into. We didn't mind constantly having to rise to our feet to affirm our commitment. As for obliging to Satan's request to "cover up" -- I stand corrected my good man. In my patriarch blessing it said I would "treasure the endowment experience" and "know how much god loved me" and if i remember the ACTUAL day correctly, i decided to go to the temple, but forgot it was my step moms birthday. So for hours, back and forth i was discussing it, "Should i go, shouldnt i go"? and a couple of people said "lets just go do this" while my older brother gave up after a few of my "should i go, shouldnt i go?" So the day OUTSIDE the temple was filled with stress, and then i was getting desperate to finally get to the temple where people say "Ya just walk in and its a breath of fresh air! Stress goes away:)" During most of the process INSIDE the temple; i was stressed and felt real guilt about bugging out on my step moms birthday, and this weird clothes and fumbling and changing everything around step by step, I felt NO REAL COMFORT. Then the naming time. I said the wrong name, the guy seemed scared, I was worried.. Finally remembered or was TOLD the correct "name" ..The celestial room was nice, but didnt do much for my day long and inside temple confusions.. After, I worried severely about the "name" i was given, and wanted to go back and get it changed, because my dad said "learn more about the name from the bible, (because they use lots of bible names" i was worried BAD. Furthermore, lots they talk of is how he was nailed on the cross. Like ok, if this violent thing was so important that ya seemingly have to remember how they did step by step. There was no "Treasure this experience" If ANYTHING; it enabled a new deeper fear into my life. I would advise against going, especially those prone to worry or obsessing.

Sorry to hear about your temple experience brother. No one should go with feelings of doubt and conflict. I agree with your advise. When I first went to the temple many many years ago I was escorted by my parents and grandfather (grandma had died already). Other family members were their to support too. But I must remember that not all were as lucky as me. Many have gone without the blessing of their parents. Just continue to follow your heart and walk humbly and peaceably among the children of men (Moroni 7:4-5) and all will be well with you. Stay true to yourself and to those around you, be worthy of their trust. Be well,

I think a lot of people have a similar experience. Preparation to enter the temple is key. If we could go back in time, I would have told you to attend your Step Mom's birthday and when you are ready, then go to the temple. Everyone's first time is strange because it is so different from the usual environment we are used to in the church. The structure, the ceremony, the clothing all have a symbolism we don't see outside the temple. The meaning in the symbols become clearer as we return and listen to the whisperings of the Spirit. We enter the temple, turn off our phones, shed our worldly clothes and put on white clothing to symbolise stepping out of the world and into a transfigured state to enter in the Lord's presence. In so doing we prepare our minds to be taught. I have had times when I have been so distracted that I have felt I have learned nothing in the temple. But the times I have prepared and left my worldly affairs at the door have allowed me holy sanctuary and a beautiful session full of revelation.

Why? Such an important question... Think about it. Work it out in your mind... Here are my thoughts, I have no authority to speak for the church. I struggle and don't even have an active Temple recommend. But still. Lucifer tempts and leads Adam & Eve to eat the fruit. He can't make them (Us) but he can convince them... All of Christianity knows that Lucifer convinced Eve, who convinced Adam... Anyone who knows LDS doctrine knows that Lucifer convinced Eve because (eating the fruit) was the only way... For mankind to: Be born and multiply. Know good from evil. Die a mortal death (so that we could be resurrected and "progress") LDS doctrine teaches that Eve's choice was not Original Sin, but a necessary "transgression" of the Father's commandment (to not eat the fruit)... So that they/we could fulfill another commandment to "Be fruitful and multiply"... We honor Eve for understanding and making the hard choice to leave paradise and following the greater commandment. And honor Adam for being faithful to Eve and (both) humble before God. Once their mortal lives began, they were faithful and endured to the end. When we repeats the actions of Adam and Eve in the Endowment, (only some of which Lucifer suggested...) We are humbled and remember that we need salvation like Adam and Eve did. And that "the Way” (Jesus Christ) has been prepared, from before the work was created... Lucifer may have known, and we certainly know, that his actions in the Garden of Eden ultimately served God's purpose. Of course these are matters on Faith. Why need a new name? IDK, but we know Jehovah is Jesus, the Son. Micheal is Adam etc. Which name is the new name? Why wear a vail? IDK, but why wear blue-jeans is heaven? Perhaps wearing the vail or that silly cap (for the men) is practice to overcome the ways of the world, in mental preparation to willingly exist in Heaven... (Honestly, the whole Endowment experience is practice/preparation to willingly AND WORTHILY exist in Heaven.) Why promise all that you have and are...? Again, preparation for Heaven. You aren't "just gonna go to church on Sunday" when in Heaven... Why did the old Endowment have the gruesome promises of blood atonement? My hot (imperfect) take is that is a reactionary measure in response to the early church apostates. Which If true is an imperfect addition to the the Endowment. But blood atonement is a symbolic reminder to me of: Suffering for our own sins of we don't repent... (The exquisite pain/anguish that we know not...) And, reminds me of those who become the Sons of Perdition... Those who like Satan, know the reality and purpose of God, but still reject Him... It would be better to never have existed, than become a Son of Perdition... Why take the Blood atonement (and other parts) out of the Endowment after 1990? IDK. It's a bit of a sell-out move. But I started attending the Temple in 2015. I wonder if I could have been as faithful if I started in the old Endowment? I'm thankful for the Endowment in it's current form. It does focus on the Savior, with the timeless simplicity of a primary lesson. And actually committing blood atonement (death for revealing the sacred signs or tokens of the Endowment), is murder. Against the laws of God and Man. The concept of blood atonement is only useful as a symbolic reminder of the eternal consequences of opposing God, not as valid enforceable law... My experience during my years in the Temple were filled with these questions. Along with feeling the Spirit. The answers came over time, as I thought about them. I can't promise my (simplistic) answers are revelations from God. Sometimes you need revelation to understand God. Sometimes you think of answers on your own, when humble and open to the Spirit. You then need revelation to confirm whether your own thoughts are true. And that can only come from God.

She is simply inaccurate in her recollection of Satan directing any of the action whatsoever. Having been to the temple yesterday (and for 20 years), I'm not even sure what she is referencing. While I can give her the benefit of the doubt by saying she clearly must have been overwhelmed and disoriented by her experience, I would have thought any group claiming to shine a light of objective critique on the Mormon church would do better at finding perspectives based in reality....

The traditions of the 'new name' didn't originate with the Freemasons. The Old and New Testament are chock full of examples of new names being given: Jacob - Israel Abram - Abraham Saul - Paul Simon - Peter So question: where did the Freemasons get "steal" their signs and rituals from? Answer: they date back to biblical times. There is evidence that points to Egypt, the Holy Land, and even specifically to King Solomon's Temple. Full disclosure, I haven't done any study myself, but if you are curious you could start here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Freemasonry

I would add as well, that Jewish culture admires and appreciates the temple and its work. I don't ever hear anybody from the Jewish or Islamic community knocking the temple, they respect it. It's "Christianity" that seeks to tear it down, knock it to the dirt, and spit on it when Jesus taught them they were supposed to love and respect. I find it more that the devil sees truth and is threatened by it and seeks to destroy it. We know in the last days members of the church, strong faithful members, will fall away, we're seeing it now. Uh, in the New Testament, Jesus spoke in parables, any Christian would know why, right? The Pharasees and Saducees would nitpick what Jesus was trying to teach: Oh! The law of Moses says this or that and that's against the law of Moses. Jesus responded with: Don't you know who you're talking too? I am the law, who are you to say I can't change it with the changing of time, under different circumstances because times differ. The Bible says we shouldn't eat pork and other scavengers, why do Christians not still do that today if we follow the Bible to a T? So, Jesus spoke in parables so that the spirit would witness to those listening and those humble enough to receive them that they understood what he was saying, kind of sounds like the gift of tongues, doesn't it? And it went right over the heads of the Pharasees and Saducees and they were lost, but Jesus conveyed his message to those listening and in tune. Christianity today sures seems the same. Nitpicking the Bible says this and says that. In many regards, the was nearly 2000 years ago. Times are different now and technology has changed. The Bible doesn't answer every concern we have now, we need teachings modern to our time, just as Jesus said he'd fulfilled the Mosaic law, well, here we are in drastically different times with totally different problems. Kill and eat.” 14 “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.” 15 The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.” God specifically says it's ok because Jesus made everything clean after he fulfilled prophecy..... And they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate Revelation 11:1-2 Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff, and I was told, “Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and those who worship there, but do not measure the court outside the temple; leave that out, for it is given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for forty-two months 2 Thessalonians 2:1-17 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? Matthew 24:15 “So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand) 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. 2 Corinthians 6:16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. Daniels prophecy specifically talks about the deception and rebuilding the temple before destruction and judgement comes so if it's something we are warned about then how is it a good thing? The Jews rejected Jesus so they ignore truth.....

Israel is rebuilding the temple already and the 5 red heifers are almost old enough to sacrifice, they will be ready to sacrifice Passover in the temple so God coming back soon. It's taking them two thousand years but they're finally rebuilding the temple and apparently they've found five unblemished perfectly red heifers that they are going to sacrifice. These things were done prior to Jesus but Jesus was the sacrificial lamb and after he died for our sins the old ways of doing things of animal sacrificing and the importance of the temple and all of that was unnecessary but the Jews are still insistent on it today and are being deceived. Revelation specifically talks about the deception of the Antichrist in the temple Daniel's prophecy talks about the end times in the temple and the desecration of it reference to even Jesus explaining to his apostles and disciples about the rebuilding of the temple in the warnings he gave. Old testament practices are no longer necessary because of Jesus so I just don't understand what your point is...... Bringing back animal sacrifices talked about and Daniel the Antichrist and is a warning to prepare I really supporting be deceived

@@amazinmaven It's not that she's wrong about what she saw or what she heard. I'll tell you since the contextual setting is in Genesis 3 anyway: in Genesis 3:7 it says they (Adam and Eve) realized they were naked and made themselves aprons out of fig leaves. In the temple version, it is Satan that brings it to their attention that they are naked. "Make yourselves aprons to hide your nakedness" he tells them.. and they do. Do you get it? Do you get the moral of the story? Of course you don't. Whether they discovered their nakedness or Satan pointed it out to them is not the point of the story. Maven, like so many things in life, one must practice and persist in order to reap a benefit. @@mormonstories Fair enough. This is the one example. This is THE singular example. The woman's recollection gives the impression that Satan is directing the action of the temple. This wasn't a blip because prior instruction encourages attendees to imagine themselves as Adam and Eve, who did, according to Genesis, make and wear aprons of fig leaves. Mormonism may have inserted that they did so at Satan's suggestion. This implies, and is clear in the temple, that the shame of their nakedness isn't natural to them, nor was their nakedness a problem to God. Believing that shame is from Satan, believing that the idea that we must hide from God in shame is a Satanic suggestion we all (humanity, broadly, yes, and certainly temple attendees) succumb to is ONE interpretation of the biblical narrative. It MIGHT be exclusively a Mormon interpretation. In my opinion, it's pretty dang accurate, and there is a beauty in recognizing existing in a state of shame is not God's will for any of his children. Sorry, Mormon Stories, but I feel that allowing the narrative of this woman that Satan directs the action in the temple is pretty dishonest on your part. I thought you were more focused on objective critique. I stand enlightened.

Some people just don't understand. They don't understand their Heavenly Father's dealings with his children on earth. They don't understand the concept of expectations and how that helps us learn and grow. They don't understand the Bible. Interesting enough, the Book of Mormon itself doesn't tell much about the temple and its goings on but it's the Bible that actually explains quite a bit as you research and study the Old Testament and the New Testament. Jesus himself actually speaks of the endowment in the New Testament and teaches it to his twelve Apostles in the upper room. He himself actually wore sacred vestments in compliance with the mosaic law as he was preparing to push for introducing the higher law. The Apostle Paul, interesting enough, as the most interesting convert had to call out all of the new members of the church constantly when they questioned him about why they were even bothering to perform temple ordinances and, just like today, had to lay it out in plain English. With the splintering of the church, scattering of the saints, and loss of some doctrines, every faith has some truth to it, so as we talk with the Jews and learn their history we learn a lot that Christianity doesn't know to further what we know. Ya just have to know where to look and have FAITH. Now, there are still consequences for breaking the covenants that are made in the temple. The ordinances performed and the covenants made are sacred and should be taken seriously to preserve the great work our Heavenly Father is doing, but I assure you, as strange as it may sound to unnanitited, when you understand the Old and New Testament, it all really makes sense, only now instead of a High Priest having to go through the temple for Israel, we all go ourselves to lay our sacrifices before our Heavenly Father and implement his glorious atonement for ourselves and it's great. Our Heavenly Father loves all his children and seeks to redeem them all. The work that he pushes for on behalf of the Dead shows that perfect love. He gave the ten commandments not at as a suggestion but as a law, he's serious about his work and demands justice, the Bible teaches that, but the Bible also teaches mercy. The Lord loves all his children, even those that fight against him. The atonement shows the love of his Saints to all children and promises glorious blessings for enduring persecution in his name. Honestly, what loving earthy Father doesn't want his children to have a better life than he has, the same for our Heavenly Father. Covenants and a complete disregard and disrespect for that love of Heavenly Father and his Son are on display here treating sacred things as common household items for whatever reason and whatever offense has happened, I don't know, but we can repent and make things right and allow the atonement to change us, we can come back. We saw many of the Apostles who had seen the Book of Mormon in the form of the gold plates become bitter and leave and then come back and feel the Saviors love for them again and none of them ever denied seeing the Golden Plates. This is the Plan of Salvation of our Heavenly Father, the ordinances that we do in the temple are very real, and to an educated Christian, is plainly visible and apparent that the temple follows Heavenly Father's pattern and expectation. We live in the time of the Restoration of ALL things to enjoy all the blessings, it's all here for our benefit, if we'll accept it and endure to the end, but it takes effort and faith to study it out, it takes work. But this and many of the comments, most of them, are NOT OKAY and will have to be accounted for before a just God that has commandment by promise they are kept sacred, whether someone before has laid it all out on the internet, individually, we're expected to keep those things sacred. We're seeing fulfilled today the teachings of prophets of old as we reach the glorious return of our Savior to liberate us from a fallen world and assemble the family unit that has always been intended to be in place and bring God's children home, just as was revealed to the first prophet Adam. We're getting ever closer and how lucky we are God the Father and his Son, our Savior appeared to a humble fourteen year-old boy open to insight and direction surrounded by a bunch of closed-minded old men, and revealed his character, his love, and his glorious plan of salvation that helps us to understand first and foremost who we are, why we're here, and where we're going when the rest of Christianity says: We don't know, we don't have all the answers, but we'll find out. No,. Prophet has already revealed all of that in our time, just as they always have [I would add as well, that even the Egyptians had an understanding of the Endowment in Abraham's time. People in Joseph Smiths time we're pretty clever in how they tried to disrupt the work. They'd pose as members of the Church that weren't and we find out later from current court documents that it was a ruse. Maybe these individuals just watched a RU-vid video and, just like the devil would, gets them to pose and fight against the saints. Im telling you, it makes sense. But as Nephi taught, we can see miracles a million times, but unless the spirit touches your heart and your truly converted, what good does it do. The test of this life is faith. God has provided a million pieces of evidence to support him, but he's also provided some things that make you scratch your head and wonder why, but it's the test of faith. People that study the Bible and have insite, see where the temple makes sense, where its there. They know why it's not laid out in black and white, but takes having the spirit to find it. There's also so many other documents out there we don't have yet, but we learn from other faiths what Christians don't know and overlook. With further instruction and study, we learn and know why the questions she ask exists, but she didn't bother to "study it out in her mind" she was there to find flaws " and then we take it before our Heavenly Father and ask in faith" and he'll reveal it to us, but we have to take all the needed steps, if we don't, he waits on us but he'd better tell us or we're in trouble. I promise all of you, the temples in there. Latter-day Saints know it and see it and the prophet helps magnify it to see it better, but it takes study and bias that's sets aside and an open mind. Don't be like the Pharasees and Saducees, look where it got them, it got their Savior killed. Christians today I see behave the same way. We're already outnumbered 10-1, as Christians we need to unite and support each other with the truths we do have to fight him, not bucket like children]

I tried really hard not to laugh! I am glad I did not! I never had a more weird or surreal experience! It is not my idea of heaven! I like color, not all white, every freakin where! Although we did have a green apron! Definitely a middle class white guys idea of the glory of heaven! Oh my I think Jesus can do a little bit better than that ( lol)

I did laugh-I couldn’t help it. The clothes and rituals were just too much to handle.
