Satellite tracking tech providing new knowledge of pygmy blue whales off Western Australia 

Research cruises to tag and track pygmy blue whales off North West Cape and Perth Canyon, Western Australia will provide key information about where they feed along their annual migratory journey from southern Australia to northern tropical waters where they breed.
This scientific endeavour by AIMS with collaborators from the Centre for Whale Research and Curtin University is part of the North West Shoals to Shore Research Program funded by Santos to better understand Australia’s marine environment.
