Would this work for removing stuck CDS? Tried to eject a cd months ago, and ever since the cd player has been completely broken, can’t load or eject or play any CDs
These cars and radios do not have the vin lock I have a 2003 ion I had the single cd radio with am/fm and I went to the junk yard and i have bought 3 different radios out of a 2004 ion, a 2001 SC1, a 2002 L200 I was able to put all of them in my ion no reprogramming needed you might have to call the dealer if the previous owner set a anti theft code as they have a master code
@@saucyx4 I’ve got Pioneer head units in both of my ions with wired Apple CarPlay, bought a car link it box that sits in the dash and makes it wireless. If yours has the “Saturn Advanced Audio System” with the amp you’ll need to figure out which wire coming from the radio is the trigger wire for the amp and tap into it so you’ll have sound.
I believe only if the head unit states anti-theft it has the VIN lock. My Mom's doesn't so I assume it'll work if replaced. I'm in the process of looking for a factory unit for mine. $30 at the yard.
Why is there so much bass response from these factory stereos ? I have a Pioneer in mine and there no bass hardly at all. The factory speakers are also removed and replaced with after markets. The factory speakers are all one piece in these and all I have found at the yards so far were trash. I thought that may help increase the bass response in these cars. Do the head units have an amp built in as well ?
This was easy :) However...the 2004 Saturn L300 I just bought is in bad shape with the entire radio. The trimming is pretty much completely broken so the entire thing slides forward. Maybe it was broken in someone's desperate bid to fix the AC that also will go out if you hit a bump, lol. So, I need my AC fixed and the entire stereo section fixed. I want a radio with an AUX...would that be possible? I'm beyond trying to keep repairs cheap or do them myself. Especially the AC issue.
