So basically the bread and chicken are just a logical vessel to get the sauce to your mouth without looking like someone who’s drinking canes sauce by the 22 oz cup 😂😂
@@joe_schmoe_420 you smoking dope chic fil a is dog shit 😂 chic fil a is only good for chicken nuggets. People go to Popeyes for a chicken sandwich and canes for chicken tenders… and all chick is ass without sauce are y’all dumb? Talking ab a whole meal shouldn’t be carried by sauce. You ever ate rib tip bbq? Y’all clowns 🤡🤣
Because theres a fuck ton of salt in the sauce lmao, thats why more people like canes than zaxbys, zaxbys has SALTY ass chicken in a SALTY ass sauce, too much
The thing is, Cane’s sauce isn’t great with literally any other chicken. Their food is literally designed to be a perfect vessel for the sauce. Their chicken and fries are meh without the sauce, and their sauce is meh with anything other than their chicken or fries. Raising canes is one of those places where you have to eat the food as intended.
@@ManyTanks1 chicken with just salt and pepper can be great, you just need to add quite a bit. Undersalted food in general is bland, you can add a million spices but if there's too little salt it will still be bland
My cousin had Canes for the first time and had the same reaction😂 He says it’s just overhyped and that the sauce and the bread is the best part about it really😭
I mean, your cousin isn’t wrong at all lol…. I’ve had it on more than one occasion and it’s exactly how your cousin described it to be. It’s honestly very overrated, and the fact it’s so expensive just makes it even more ridiculous. I’d rather go to Chik fil a lol.
@@Yomamahouse69420Their fries are horrendous, what are you talking about? Five Guy’s fries on the other hand are delicious. These are just plain and simple. Not good at all. They are mediocre at best lol.
I'm so brainrotted at this point Literally the first thought through my head when he said "Probably enjoy this more with just one piece," Luffy flashed through my mind and the "can we get much higher" song played in my head
Have you ever been to chicken express or churches? They are really just basic flour fried chicken. Chicken express has serendipity seasoning that you add from packets, and there’s spicy fried chicken that’s different. Churches has dipping as well. Most chicken places are not going to compete with each other solely on the actual chicken. It’s sauces and breads etc and select drinks.
For me I genuinely enjoy Canes and honestly, I’ve only ever had it once in my life but EVERYTHING was so good. Like at least at my location, the tenders were piping hot and the bread was perfectly buttered and toasted. The sauce was absolute fire and the fries weren’t bad. Like I wait for the day that I’ll get to eat Canes again bc it’s so damn good
I used to work at a canes what they do is get a giant tube throw a bunch of chicken in there with water and a marinade packet (its not regular seasoning its like a white powder) and you close the tube and throw it in the freezer and mark it with the date its for and when they cook the chicken the dip it in egg and then toss it in flour thats very lightly seasoned and used for most to all of the day and the fries are frozen and go straight from freezer to fryer. The bread just has a giant flat top with 2 tubs of butter next to it. The sauce isnt hard to make you can make it at home.
Cause it ain’t the move. You just dip chicken in sauce. Bite. Dip bread in sauce. Bite. Repeat til it’s gone. These sandwich making people are just doin it for tha gram since that’s what people do in most chicken places lol
I ran out of sauce the first time I went there while I was eating it in my car and I literally had to wait until I got home just to get some more sauce.
Glad someone kept it real. The sauce shouldn't be the star the sauce should compliment the food and make a good dish even better. When you NEED sauce it's a problem
Seeing that the founder himself says the tenders by them self are juicy and tender and the sauce is what makes it craveable that's exactly how it should be. It's his business model and it's a huge success so obviously it isn't a problem...
@@Rorowasnthere When I went to Canes for my first time my fries were surprisingly very crunchy lol, so I got lucky. Maybe it was fresh out of the fryer idk 😭
As an employee there, you really gotta eat the food fast. And as you stated, it’s nothing without the sauce. You’re supposed to get crispy and crunchy fries because we dump our food every 6 minutes but it seems that isn’t the case with your toast and such
Crushed ice anywhere is amazing to me. Idk why, but it just is. I've even started crushing my ice in ziplock bags at home, because I can't like cubes anymore lol
Nobody said it’s bad. But when a sauce is pretty much all you have to offer to make your food well you can’t be surprised. And yeah he’s correct even if they can’t season the food the least they could do is give us crunchy fries and chicken. Half the time the chicken is soggy and the fries are damp noodles.
Ive seen this comment a couple times and I can almost guarantee you your all the type to go get 2 mcdoubles and 2 mcchickens eat those light heated plastic wannabe "meats" everyday and call that a decent meal
People actually fill cups with cane sauce and eat their food with it like their taste buds are being blessed. Never been more disappointed when I tried it myself. Even the sauce was disappointing since so many restaurants in my area had a similar sauce.
@@visionist99 maybe like pure garlic and onion powder but if it's a salted seasoning it would def be too much with the sauce. From what I gather they wanted a really good tender (juicy and tender) and a really good sauce. I don't think they wanted a standalone tender which is why the sauce (seasoning) is essential 🤷🏿♂️
@@kalenadams6985 the sauce is already salted so yea just powder everything else would do it justice n also making spicy tender with onion, garlic powder with either cayenne or paprika powder 🔥
That’s the point of it lacking flavour The amount of flavour they put is supposed to be enhanced by the sauce Same as jolly bees chicken the gravy with the lower salt on the chicken creates the best bites
I always found the trick for bread to meat/sauce ratio was to split the bread down the middle, it surprisingly come apart like a hotdog bun if you’re careful
Canes food itself is genuinely mid and I don’t get why people have to keep saying this, we know. It’s the SAUCE. That’s the only reason why it’s even remotely that good. Easily the best sauce for that type of food hands down. I’ve only had canes once where I almost didn’t need the sauce, chef cooking it up back there knew what they was doing
People think theyre being a food critic when saying the chicken has no flavor when its meant to be dipped in the sauce, if the chicken had more seasoning than it has (it does have seasoning) it would be a seasoning and salt explosion in your mouth, the sauce is meant to be the seasoning, also side note, canes compared to other fast food chicken has very little salt per finger, ask for extra salt when your order if youre so confident you know how to make food taste good
thats not how seasoning even works if you ever cooked something in your life. theres a reason why you season food before cooking it, it enhances and changes certain flavors of the food, inside and out. something that is not possible to be replicated with adding seasoning at the end, or adding sauce in this instance. also btw you can have both adequate amount of salt in the chicken and sauce without either being salty, and that applies to seasoning as well. sauce should compliment the dish, not be the main component of a dish.
Your food isn’t supposed to taste bland because you can get sauce. Not everyone likes sauce, when people order wings should they just be shit since some people dip them in ranch or blue cheese? No the wings themselves should still be good and everyone can then dip in sauce if they want. If every single person has to dip your chicken in sauce then your chicken is not good
M8 it should compliment the meal not be the flavor. The idea of complimentary objects is that they help one another. The food is literally only a vessel for what makes the food worth anything, and it's something that's supposed to add to it, not give value
Canes is one of the most underrated places to go… it’s pretty solid. Idk why over the last few years people act like because you’re meant to dip your food in a sauce it’s automatically not that good. They’re literally tenders and fries of course you’re gonna dip them in something ☠️😂
nobody thinks its not good because youre meant to dip your food in a sauce. it's not good because the chicken isnt seasoned and the only redeeming quality is dipping the chicken in the sauce to slightly restore the bland chicken. ill rather have well-battered and seasoned chicken that i have the option to dip in the sauce where its better either way thanks
@@user-fe1ri7hi2e I have no doubts it’s good. But sadly we don’t have one here in the east. As long as a condiment isn’t suppose to be the reason why it’s good
If heard a lot of people say this place is mid without the sauce but if there’s any in the south they’re probably slightly better. Deep fried stuff from the south seems to always hit different.
I love Your onesty it’s so refreshing. I mesn i live in România and we dont have these Fast foods and I saw so many influencers talking about this that I almost wanted to move in USA lol 😄 Now i calmed down😂
Canes literally does the one thing there establishment is meant to do right wrong. They don’t make good chicken but they make everything else so fucken good. The sauce, the bread, even the fries are great
I’ll never understand the hype for this… maybe because I tried the new location in baltimore? But have y’all moms never cooked anything???? This was super duper mid💀 surely zaxby’s comes correctly cause canes did not.
