Avi is classically trained, and in songs like this it is so apparent, love Avi’s voice. The First Noel, so underrated, showcases the absolute beauty of Avi’s voice.

I was (correctly) really looking forward to your Guitar Mitch reaction! For my system at least the audio this time was excellent - the bass notes came through really well. I am very grateful as this is one of my favourite Pentatonix songs. It's a masterpiece for me too.

I know you saw one little clip of this on 13 Shooketh Moments of Mitch and you probably thought the guitar solo with the megaphone would have been your only slap. Without the video showing, I still see Kirstie holding out her hand to pull Mitch up on the couch and at that point you said "oh no"..... because you knew he climbing up there for a reason....and the reason was to give us another Mitch slap! LOL.....this one is Mitch's song....from the smooth singing at the beginning through to the electric guitar performance through to the screeching high notes. The megaphone is a prop - you can see Mitch doing those sounds on live performances. Mitch has an electric guitar sitting on his vocal cords. Not surprising - he also has a piano and some bells there. Kevin has a full drum set, cymbals and a fugle horn on his vocal cords. It's my understanding that when PTX decided to do "Bohemian Rapsody" they worked on it for five years before they actually did this cover, and it shows the competence this group had in their performance! Thanks for another great reaction! This was a hard video for them to make on a couch that moved and tipped over easily. There is a behind the scenes video on You Tube of the making of Bohemian Rhapsody that another commenter here has posted a direct link. There was a special on TV this past year, a Queen family sing along with different artists performing songs from Queen and Pentatonix cover of "Somebody To Love" was so good. (Mitch really is so much like Freddy Mercury) I have seen it on You Tube.

There are actually pictures floating around the internet (and in some RU-vid videos, but I'd have to find them) of Mitch dressed as Freddie Mercury for a Halloween party, and the resemblance is almost creepy.

When you kept saying Kevin. The tone sounded like the mom's voice on Home Alone but in a man's voice. Can't Hold Us is epic from PTX. They can do anything. I don't want to spoil what they do in that video.

In regard to your words about Avi's uniqueness, Ben Bram, PTX's producer/arranger from the beginnings and the man who brought Avi to the group, has referred to Avi as "a rare bird", a high compliment. They've remained close, as both are founders and administrators of A Cappella Academy, which Avi has called his proudest achievement yet.

Great reaction. You are right Avi is one of a kind. I think he was a big part of what got them off the ground with this group. It was very sad to see him leave. I definitely feel that Matt has been a great fit though. Avi left big shoes to fill and Matt has done an awesome job.

Wow. I've now played this PTX video and multitudes of reactions to it something close to 50 times. This is actually the first time I've just LISTENED to it - without the video. I am SHOCKED by how much I got out of it without the distraction of the visuals. And maybe all the tweaking of your own audio has something to do with it, but holy crapoli, it genuinely makes a difference to my brain. I mean, I knew it was amazing and mind-blowing already - but this was just another level to me. Also, I'm loving your appreciation of their talents. Unfortunately, it's impossible to heap the proper amount of praise on Avi without it feeling like Matt is being side-lined. They're just ... different. I love them both. OK - going through your videos (... please, please, PLEASE create playlists that group your videos by artist or type! Preferably artist...) I see you've done a BUNCH of Home Free, a couple dozen PTX, but only four VoicePlay. I'm a Pentaholic but I'm starting to seriously appreciate VoicePlay's theatrics. They just dropped "The Dragonborn Comes (Skyrim)" not long back and I'm addicted to it. And they go all in with the costumes and location. Cesar is wearing, for example, 20 pounds of chain mail and a gorgeous gauntlet. There's a sound effect they make ... a deep pulsing sound ... that I simply cannot figure out. If it's of human origin, then it's just ... whoa. There was a similar sound in Hoist the Colors, but they've upgraded it. I would love for you to drop a reaction to it.
