Absolutely agree on the maturity in their voices - lots of growth over the last several years. BTW - so glad you recognized Matt. He’s brought a lot of his own personality to the group.

Avi and Matt are both incredibly talented but they are different people and that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be. I love both of them and I love their old and new music. The variety of styles is one of the reasons they are so mindblowing.

I'm so glad to see you allowing yourself to see the joy and skill in newer PTX as well! So many people get so stuck in the Avi thing that they project that on to Matt. But from the people who have actually watched him perform or the ptxperience things, there is no way to dislike that man! He was the perfect person for pentatonix going forward. They are all such talented and hard working people. Their medleys, evolutions and mashups will always be so impressive. The way they weave through music is so... organic. It kind of feels like they can "see" the music to be able to fit them together like that.

Seems hard to believe they had anywhere left to level up to, but they have. This is simply masterful and insane. And yes, Kirstie is kicking ALL the ass. I think being on Broadway gave her a boost of confidence, maybe? Whatever it is, she is a monster, now. Matt was kinda like dropping a giant puppy into the middle of a ball pit full of awesome. He has such boundless energy and adds so much enthusiasm along with his prodigious talent. I heard Scott say somewhere fairly recently that the band has never been in a better place in every way. Agree. I do miss Avi, but he seems happier, and it's not like he fell off the planet. There is an entire catalog of Avi work in the Pentatonix vault, and his new stuff suits his preferences better. I'd say it's all as it should be. * nods *

So nice to see Matt being appreciated. Avi and Matt are both greatness. I think you would be completed fascinated watching the Pentatonix - Recording Evergreen video. Recorded by Ben, Kirstie's boyfriend, it follows them as they arrange, record and produce various songs on their Evergreen album in two weeks for 14 songs. It is so amazing to watch! They give every detail their absolute attention and to see how they work and interact with each other is inspirational. You should really check it out! Thank you for all your wonderful reactions!

When Matt joined PTX I was an instant fan of his. I love his voice and what he brings to the group is totally different but similar to what Avi did for them. All 6 members are unique and cannot be compared to anyone else and I’m always sad when people try to do that with Matt and Avi. I’m thankful you are starting to see the wonder of Matt and are giving him the credit he deserves. PTX lost Avi and his brilliance but what they gained with Matt is just as brilliant in a different way.

Totally agree. They've matured and their confidence has also grown in the 10-11 years since the sing off. Kirsten's confidence really increased after she performed on Broadway in Kinky Boots. I think they chose the right person to replace Avi. Matt is like the rest, super talented plus he brings a joyfulness and lightness to them that is very obvious. Thanks for the great reaction.

THANK YOU!!!! I have been patiently waiting for u to recognize Matt's awesomeness. I know how much u love Avi but Matt has lived up to and surpassed all expectations set for him and done it with such grace and joy. I hope u get a chance to check out some PTXperience footage and see "behind the scenes Matt" to really see his personality, the way he is with fans and the other group members. Probably the most joyful person I've ever seen. And I love Avi too don't get me wrong, but he is happy doing what he loves and from what you've said, u relate a lot to his music ❤ As far as Kirstie, I have always felt she's grown the most, by far, since the sing off...not just in regards to her vocals but most importantly her confidence. She was always good but now she's amazing 👏

The level of difficulty on this one is like eleventy-million. The number of time and key changes is insane and the transitions are crazy fast. I honestly can’t wrap my head around how in sync they are.

I sometimes wait patiently for a reactor to realise how great Matt is. It always happens eventually. Great reaction! Thank you. Oh, and huge congratulations to Kirsty! She’s gonna be a great momma! 🤰

I love this one. I love the way Kirsty and Mitch were throwing the lead back and forth between them. So good!! And, yes, now you know why I'm always saying that we love Matt, we love what he's brought to PTX in his own rite. He had some HUMOUGOUS shoes to try and fill after Avi left and he's held it down very well. Never trying to replace Avi, just fill the role left to him with his own voice. And, that is why I love him. Of the members of PTX Matt has one of my most favorite voices. Yes, Mitch is a unicorn, and Scott is redamndiculous, and there's always Kevin, of course, and Kirsty is just...Well, I mean...Kirsty. But, Matt has such a warm, rounded tone to his voice. Especially when he sings in his upper baritone ranges. We don't get to hear him anywhere near as often as I would like, but when we do... Great video, as always, man.

Arranging, transitions, work ethic (not to mention vocal prowess)... all in spades. Going to confess that I am not an Ariana fan, but they killed every song! Thanks for this.

My favorite thing about the evolution videos is watching them over and over and over and each time focusing on only one person. It still baffles me how they each can go from singing lead and jumping into the background, and then maybe back to a lead. There's almost no resting for anyone. We, as the audience, hear a seamless song, but each individual part is so intricate and broken (in a sense). I love their ability to memorize their individual parts and be able to know when to be kinda flashy and when to be subtle as their part demands according to where they are in the overall piece. And to be completely synchronized with the others. It's bananas.

Their voices all matured perfectly. Technically adult voices tend to settle in around a person’s mid 20s so their voices were still changing during the sing-off. How they all matured perfectly and went from great to ridiculous is crazy.

I am obsessed with Kirstie's hair in this. That is all. Oh and you know the OUTSTANDING singing and transitions.

Thank you for giving Matt some love. I believe he is under appreciated. Kirstin has grown immensely over the last few years. Other than Kevin, the rest of them had vocal lessons as a child. Kirstin had a few but not to the extent of the others but she has been taking lessons recently. She was raised by a single mom who has commented that she can’t afford all these things. Although she did offer to pay Scott’s parents child support because Kirstin was over there so much. 😄

You can always go back and listen to part of all of them again. We really don't mind!!

They are so amazing at doing the Evolution Of... videos. "Evolution Of Rihanna" is my favorite. It was great hearing you give Matt the respect he deserves. I've loved Matt from the first time I heard him and saw him perform. His talent and his energy are what Pentatonix needed to go forward. He fits in perfectly with the other 4 members. They love him and so do I. The PTXperience videos lets us see how amazing Matt is as a person and as a performer.

Watching their Sing off performances now you can hear and see how they grew. It's hard to wrap your brain around how much they leveled up and continue to. They are so far past 'the sky is the limit'!

I know ur request list is long, but if some of these are on ur list, consider moving them up if ur looking for some bass heavy (both guys) bops lol... What's really crazy is that I wasn't even an Ariana fan until I saw this video for the first time. And I believe this is the video that sold me on Matt. He was flawless❤️💣🤘🔥

They have all grown and matured so much in their abilities, but I would agree with you on Kirstin - she has grown by leaps and bounds in vocal maturity and pure confidence. And the growth of the group as a whole probably was like a slap in the face going from The Sing Off journey to this! This is definitely my favorite Evolution video of theirs! MJ is a close second but the skill, smoothness and maturity in this one takes it to the top. Loved how that super solo moment by Mitch just broke your brain and you sat their with your mouth open for about 2 minutes straight!! 🤣🤣

Obviously PTX was amazing from the very beginning but they have certainly improved a lot over the years. They have all refined their voices and matured since the early days. I love watching their journey.

It sounds like jazz. I think that what makes it hard to get over Avi is his charisma. He was just a lot of fun.

This is my fav evolutions video…and thank you for loving both Avi and Matt…Avi was amazing with PTX and he is thriving on his solo career(you NEED to see him live). But, Matt brings a new energy and is amazing in his own talent. His smile is so contagious, you can’t help but love the man. And yes, Kirstin had the biggest glow up around this time. She had just been on broadway and I think this was around the time she started dating Ben…and now look at our girl!! So happy for her. And Mitch freakin slayed this!!! Kevin and Scott were amazing(can’t not gush on those 2 men).

This may be my favorite PTX Evolution. It is really something. You're right. Kirstin may be the member who has evolved the most but they have all grown and seem to have expanded their individual ranges. You need to see their "Seasons Of Love" from last July to really watch Kirstin soar (if you haven't already) Matt is so talented in his own right. The group has been blessed to have had both Avi and Matt. And we're lucky that they're still putting out great music!!!

I think Avi and Matt are both incredibly talented and very charismatic people. I love them both. The difference for me is their tones, both of which I love. For me personally, Avi's bass is rich and warm like maple syrup while Matt's tone is smooth and silky and cool like delicious mousse. When Matt covers the songs Avi originally sang, I can hear the difference, but not in a bad way. It just gives the song a slightly different feel. My favorite Matt song, and it's hard to choose because he's phenomenal, is New Rules/Are You That Somebody. Matt and Kevin are so incredible in that video, I forget to listen to Scott, Mitch, and Kirstie. Avi did an amazing job choosing his replacement. It had to be super intimidating for Matt to be joining such a close-knit group who had such high standards, but Matt did it beautifully, not only doing the difficult work of learning all the songs, but blending with the personalities of the group members to become family almost immediately. How can anyone not love Matt?

I love all the evolution videos but this is my favorite. For Superfruit, the Beyoncé medley is my favorite (Empire medley a close second).

I haven't really listened to this one more than a couple of times. I don't really know Ariana's music, so I don't feel I can appreciate it for what it is. BUT...I CAN appreciate what PTX is doing here. I feel like this arrangement lets every single one of them shine. And I agree about the maturity. You can hear it in Kirstie and in Scott. As for giving them all the attention they deserve, it's hard for most of us I think. We all gravitate to one of the five and that's where our ear goes. But they did such a great job with this one that Scott and Matt are standouts to me. I don't usually tend to 'hear' them as much, although there's no denying their talent and ability. I can really hear them in this one, and they're amazing! I think Scott gets 'looked over' a lot because he has that 'expected' pop/rock tone. But his voice is so much more than that, and I think we sometimes forget or overlook it.

So fricking amazing how they run through their transitions. They are Crazy talented. Post Broadway Kirstie. Avi's bass was so chest shaking, Matt reminds me more of the real bass sounds you hear in music. WoW....👽👽👽👽👽's

I didn’t even know that I knew Arianna songs, let alone that they were so good. And now this is my favorite medley from the whole group, but the Rhianna one and the empire one from Superfruit still top this for me. They absolutely killed this. They’re so good.

I love it! Pentadiculous! This is my fave evolution video. I only knew one of Ariana Grande's songs before I listened to this. I love their versions of her songs. The do 4 takes and pick the one they like the best.

This is probably my favourite are atleast top 5 performances for Matt . I feel like they didn't tone his bass down which in other places they have . It has that really booming surrounding feeling in headphones and is the type that vibrates the room on sound system it's my favourite type of bass which in production on there newer specifically originals with Matt they tone down and lower the bass on his voice .

It's my favorite "evolution" and I don't even like Arianna Grande.
