Beyonce posted superfruits and said "Mitch and Scott are FLAWLESS!!"

Rhianna approached Mitch and Scott at an award ceremony and told Mitch that he had a great voice. He nearly fainted. He introduced this evolution on Matt's first tour and the arena went crazy. My hubby leaned towards me during it and said that he didn't recognize what song they were covering. I just laughed. The video hadn't been released yet.

One thing I can definitively say about Pentatonix is that they have the strongest work ethic of any humans I've ever seen. They put SO MUCH into every arrangement, constant practice to get it right, recordings, videos, and touring (Pre-Pandemic at least) almost non-stop, on top of awards shows, public appearances, and their individual solo projects.

About Scott being over the top, he said during lockdown that he was enjoying working from home with no producer to tell him to tone down the riffs, lol

Ariana said she cried toward the end when she watched hers, Beyonce called them Flawless on the Superfruit one, Rhianna told Mitch he had a sick voice at an awards show.

You most definitely need to react to their “Making of Evergreen” album. I know you will absolutely love and appreciate it.

I agree Kevin is the glue of Pentatonix. His drum sounds are awesome but he is so much more than just drums. He always adds spice to the songs. Matt is great too.

About Scott's riffs -- I think you've heard one of the SingOff judges complimenting Scott on his restraint and I think this is what she meant. He doesn't do a riff on every possible note (although if you have heard him fooling around in some of the SuperFruit videos you know he could). He has an instinct to know where it will complement the music.

As to your question about how much they practice, because they are heavily involved in the arrangements of their songs, they don't rehearse a ton because by the time they get finished arranging they've gone thru it so many times they basically have the whole song down! Essentially they're ridiculously talented Alienacorns with great work ethics!

Love this. I think you would really enjoy Making of Evergreen Album (longer video but so good). It's like being a fly on the wall watching them work on arrangements and how they work like a family in the studio.

This was one of their best evolution of... videos, IMO. You're right that this is one of the first times we get to see Matt and Kevin this in sync with one another. They'd been working together for long enough, and working close enough, that they we able to pull off performances like this, and they still do now. Avi and Kevin had a very special relationship from the start, both of them were brought in because PTX HAD to have 5 members to compete in the Sing Off. They had something to prove to the Trio, right from the start. Then, not only did they work together in PTX but they also lived together for quite some time. They roomed together when they went on tour. So, yeah, they got to know one another. How each thought, what they were likely to do in any given arrangement, what little tricks or flourishes they were likely to put on certain parts of songs. Now, Kevin and Matt are in that place, too. You said something about only having listened to these guys for a few months, about 3 or 4 if the time counter on your first video is right, and still being amazed by what they can do, that you didn't think it would ever go away. I've been a fan of theirs in particular, and acapella in general, for the last 10 years and I can tell you that it never gets old. I'm still in shock every time I listen to one of these groups, I still have to remind myself that there's no backing track, no instrumentals helping the voices, that it's all just them. I'm still in awe of every one of these performers, WISHING I had even a quarter of their talent. So, yeah, it never gets old. And, that, to me, is a beautiful thing. Great video, as always, man. Can't wait for the next one!!

About Scott’s riffs, I have to remind myself often that there is no instrumental filler in the background. To create the fullness of sound we appreciate from PTX, they must provide a crazy amount of movement in each of their individual vocals. I agree it is INSANE lol. Love your reactions.

Scott's riffs are so very good because of how he does them and where he places them. He seems to approach the riff opportunities from the perspective of where and how they will best compliment the song. Most singers approach them from the perspective of how can I best showcase my voice in the time I have. One of the key components to the amazingness of Pentatonix has always been their lack of ego when approaching the music. It always seems like they're trying to do the best they can for the song rather than themselves.

Sir riffs a lot is the perfect nickname for Scott!!! And I love that you love Avi, but, still love Matt as well…He has gotten some flack for getting into the group. He has held his own and love the group’s vibe. Avi is def happier/more at peace with his solo career.

They released this during Pentacon. One of the original reactors , Husain (*sp) made is video with Candace. Kevin’s sister. that’s why I love PTX so much. They make us feel like friends and family, not just fans. They not only fought the music industry. But they battle you tube, and their own label, to allow reaction videos. They do so much for their fans/family, that even if I hated every new song they did, I will always support them just because of who and how they are.

this is my absolute favorite Evolution video for all the reasons you've already mentioned. Matt and Kevin are so amazingly in sync and you can just hear Rihanna's style throughout the entire arrangement. it's just perfect. ❤️

I'm with you...if an artist has too many riffs, it's a total turn-off for me. But somehow, Scott pulls it off and even makes me love it. Unbelievable! Great reaction... Their "Evolution of Beyonce" is even better. Hope you do that one soon.

Avi is a great bass. His voice and ability is probably just as rare as Mitch. He is amazing. I do think that Matt's voice, while not as deep, powerful and distinctive as Avi's, blends better with the rest of the group. Matt's voice really reminds me of Nat King Cole singing 'Unforgettable'

Have you done their Evolution of Ariana Grande yet? I think it’s one of my favorites. Bring your helmet. Mitch shines in that one and Matt and Kevin work well together in that also. I do wonder if you like Avi so much that maybe you haven’t given Matt a fair chance to prove what he can do without always being compared to Avi? So many people do it but they really are two totally different basses. Maybe you just haven’t listened to enough with Matt to fully appreciate what he can do. I personally think his voice type fits better with the group. For an example of that,the Matt and Mitch blend in mad world is amazing and the trading of solos between Scott and Matt in Can you feel the love tonight the sound is so similar that before we got the video many people still thought Scott was singing when it was Matt who took over.

Scott once commented that the arrangement process was very organic. Someone has an idea for a song, then they go through 8t while adding parts here and there. By the time it's time to sing it, they already have it down.

If you continue down the rabbit hole you will find PTX experience videos they take on your. You will see Matt and Kevin open by themselves and you will see more of how well they work together. They are the sound for PTX and the Trio know they have the best their is. They are all flawless and are a perfect music family. From comments made from the group all the singers they have made compilations medleys for, have loved them and told them so.

You need to start watching more with Matt as he is awesome yeah Avi was awesome with ptx but he no longer apart off them now and Matt is and fits in perfect with them his base is out off this world and he has grown so much and I feel he needs so much more credit another reactor watch them at Christmas time live and he said Matt stood out the most out off all off them which is great to hear 😊 maybe check out come along Matt and Mitch are awesome in that one 🙂

Arianna Grande watched the evolution of her music and she said she cried during the last minute because she loved it so much!

I think this evolution video is one of their best. It also highlights how many hits Rihanna had. Loved this one. Each one of them was on their game.

Matt's bass is prominent during these videos and I love it.

I feel like God created Kevin just for us! Truly, they all were! I also feel like He created Avi from a Heavenly thunderstorm...unexplainably perfect! However, I challenge you to go back to the beginning and try to only focus on Scott throughout the whole video...his talent, IMO, is undeniably perfect and his vocals are untouchable!

This one is one of their best evolution videos! IF not the best lol. Matt is amazing, Avi will always have a special place in our hearts but Matt has been a great fit with them.

Pentatonix has 5 members: Scott, Mitch, Kevin, Kirstin, and Matt. Avi used to be in the group but now has a great solo career.

Kirstie and Mitch are both chameleons (along with being Unicorns...) and really do seem to have a different look in nearly every video. Her look in this one is one of my favorites. It's really hard to pick a favorite because she always looks so good!

Rihanna never specifically commented on this Medley or Superfruit's Anti Medley but told Mitch at an awards show she loved his voice. Lady Gaga posted the video along with a 🌟 emoji. Beyoncé posted the PTX Evo of Beyoncé video along with "Amazing!" Beyoncé posted Superfruit's Medley of her self-titled album along with "Scott and Mitch are FLAWLESS!" They freaked out. A LOT 😆 Ariana Grande posted video along with a glowing statement about how much she loved it and she cried the entire last minute of the medley.

Pentatonix has a Beyoncé evolution and Superfruit did a medley of all the songs from Beyoncé's "Beyoncé" album and I don't think you've done either. And there is a Superfruit Taylor Swift medley that is hard to find because the video title is just "1989"; it's all the songs from that album.
