You might want to try ball training. That will let him distinguish the difference between food time and play time. Good video.

What is that mines a 2.5ft male. He's getting more confident around me and I can sometimes pet him usually my hands balled up and I let him lick my hand. I'll rub his nose and neck. Today though.. not at all aggressively but he was pushing his shout into my first and opened his mouth a little while pushing my fist. Idk if he's confused I'm food or if he's challenging me or what.

So fun to see videos of training and socialising reptiles. I think it is a really importatnt topic to talk about. You can actually (whith a bit of work) get your reptile to be okey with you and not scared. I tink it is our responsibility to make them comfortable with handeling. More videos like this!

First things first glad to see u back! That was a great video I have one as well and I've had since he was very small he is about the same size as yours is now and I'm trying to tame him as well. So thanks for the video you're helping me out so much!!! I also have a BCI,2 normal ball python hatchlings, a bearded dragon, 2 leo geckos,a pink toe tarantula,and an asian forest scorpion. You've helped me so much with all of them. Thanks!!!

Very interesting how the training is, basically is about stimulating the reward system with food and rewarding good behavior.

They're so smart and curious. I think they do tend to be reactive, but you just have to have patience. I still startle mine sometimes. They also eat first, ask questions later. I've seen tegu clicker and target trained, but I think it can work with savannahs too. I'm working in it a bit. Mine is very catlike, he likes to watch and hang out with me. He will sometimes deliberately cause trouble if I'm not paying enough attention to him. Our trust is pretty good. I'm lucky I got him around a year old and he was never inclined to bite.

I just got a baby yesterday. He was mad chill the first day, would just sit on me while I laid down and let me pet him, very next day he would try like hell to get away from me. I got him to eat a Dubia roach today (2nd day I have him) and he shook it like a pit bull, which was fun to watch. His name is jasper, if he's a he idk but the names staying.

I got a baby savannah monitor and i think its like 2-4 weeks. The monitor would sleep all day ate on the second day but no water the third day the monitor didnt eat or drink water still. Since ive gotten it I've been socializing and picking the monitor up. And i put water in this bowl and i let the monitor drink while in my hand and i been doing this the last two days only had it five days.

Hi was wondering if you think there is anything wrong with drop feeding as someone would call it where instead of having the snake strike at it you just leave it in the vivarium if so is it different for different types of snakes like corn snakes and boas?

I have a question.. I recently got a baby sinaloan milk snake and was woundering how often should I feed it. Right now I'm feeding it once a week but I'm woundering if I should feed it more then once a week because it's a baby ?

What is his age at this point I also bought a small monitor and I’m assuming mine is around 3 months maybe even younger I’ve had it for 2 months still vary small so that is why I assume it’s still only about 3 months and mine runs Immediately. And I feel like I’m doing something wrong and I just want to know the age because maybe it’s just because my monitor is still super young

I just got my savannah and i was told to leave him in the enclosure for a week but then was told to take him out to feed it....right now i only have crickets

I was going to give a dislike but no lol just learn to target train i have a full grown Savannah and target train him with a dog clicker so he doesnt bite kids by mistake lol
