"The Mortifactors are the ghoulish sons of Arpaza, the XX Legion of the grand Legiones Astartes." I'm sorry if I have made a mistake as this is also the number of the alpha legion... I just want to remind everyone that the cannibalistic tribal savages known as the _Mortifactors_ are *Ultramarine* successors.

Slaanesh will always be the scariest chaos god. Because it’s not the god of sex, drugs and rock and roll from memes. It’s the dark chaotic god of taking things way too far.

Enjoyed the reference to "All the Gods are Dead" with the burning keeper of secrets.

There was a few times Agonialus' voice sounded like Doug Bradley (Pinhead) which just fit so well with the pain/pleasure feel of the story. So well done Vox!

A level of excess so intense that everything is pain, pleasure, and that Hellraiser spectrum in between. A guy who can’t come down and uses this new found state of existence to just ROCK.

Finally got the chance to catch up with all the void-y goodness, and my word, do these Slaanesh adjacent stories go hard. This, and Savant take me waaay back to your work on "All the Gods are dead" trilogy, all of which do a horrific job at portraying just how insidiously malicious slaanesh is.

A fine start to could be a great story. What struck me, particularly at the beginning, is how much simular the Noise Marine is to the Lamenter in 'Shame' - even though the two Astartes occupy the opposite ends of the morality/loyalty spectrum, both of them are miserable, isolated, and unfulfilled individuals who are burdened by desires that will never be satisfied. The Noise Marine will forever be searching for newer, more extreme forms of sensation while the Lamenter(s) is forever striving to make the galaxy a better place in the face of extreme adversity and pain. Neither will ever know true contentment or peace. It's really quite tragic when you think about it. Anyhow, good story once again. Also I really liked the music Also, not to be a lore snob, but the Mortifactors are a Ultramarine Sucessor Chapter that recrutes its members from a night word full of feral cannibilistic tribes
