man i loved this video. coming from a frist time car buyer who owns an is 250 that started throwing p0420 codes, damn they needed to make this car easier to work on. I got a headache watchign all the steps to replace spark plugs
Good video. A tip : use a short length of fuel hose, split a bit on one end to slip over the end of the spark plug to start it easily without chancing of cross threading the plug. I learned it the hard way.
Hey thanks for doing this. We have the same car and in the same color! Im thinking of decarboning the intake valves. Do you think I can spray the CRC intake cleaner at the vacumm line at 8:05?
Just fixed some rusted rivets on my heat shield for 25$ and I know a muffler shop would've charged minimum $150 for a better version of what I did. Gotta give things a try ourselves even if you're rich. Why not.
Hey Mike I have a 1995 Lexus SC400 just put a complete tune on it replaced both catalytic converters in the front but the check engine light is on can't find anyone with a ob1 now the catalytic converters both are turning red hot it is losing power I can't not figure out what is the problem I have been leaving it parked what could be the problem I can't find anyone to fix it
I purposely stay away from cars older than 1996 for this reason. I would suggest you buy an OBD1 reader and figure out why the system is running rich. It could be a bad injector, or a bad coil, possibly bad plugs.
You are not blessed with a vehicle that has easy to access spark plugs. The people who change their plugs all the time can access them with no problems, so they don't mind putting in ones that last 10-20K miles. If it starts burning oil and fouling a plug or two up that is going to be a chore.
