Thanks for the feedback! I likely will do that in mid August. Just before the fall fertilizer season.

I use Celsius wg and Certainty for most of my weed needs, but I need some quinclorac to take care of some at Augustine in my Bermuda. Didn’t realize that dusty ol’ bottle of spectracide on my back shelf had quinclorac until you pointed it out. Saved me some money thanks Greg.

Perfect! Thanks for the feedback. It's why I am stressing knowing the active ingredients. I may butcher the pronunciation from time to time, but at least I put it on the right track.

Then i was trying to choose between milo and stay green 2n1 natural fertilizer both slow release

The Sta Green natural based fertilizer uses "organics" plus it has polymer coated urea. With a higher percentage of nitrogen in the bag for the cost being almost the same is why I use the Sta-green. Just my thoughts!

Hi Greg! Love your channel. Im here in Pineville, NC (Charlotte). Saw your video about Grubs. Found 1 grub on my water hose, and a 1 or 2 beetles. Can and should i put out both GrubEx1 & BioAdvanced 24hr Grub Plus? *Note: Bermuda Grass Lawn. I also want to put out Spectracide Weed Stop to kill off some nutsedge i have. Can I do ALL of these at one time in the same day?
@GregPhillips.22

I would just do the Scotts grub EX. I don't think you're in a bad spot right now with scrubs. Your main problem is going to be grub feeding late July early August. That should give you plenty of time to get the grub ex product in your Bermuda and you'll be good to go. as far as putting them out in the same day, not a problem. Neither need to be watered in.

Does iron supplement really work? I was thinking about StaGreen iron spray or ironite.. which one is better for my fescue
@GregPhillips.22
@GregPhillips.22 3 месяца назад
Iron gives you green without the growth. "Spray on/liquid feed" I think wound be better.

Good video man. Speaking from experience, that Scott’s Elite spreader is good for a season or two but that’s it. The edge guard function is tied into some plastic gear/mechanism that closes off part of the drop holes and eventually it warps and those teeth in the gears start skipping and it’s a whole mess after that. Buyer beware.
@GregPhillips.22
@GregPhillips.22 3 месяца назад
Thanks for the heads up!! The edge guard functions on even the commercial grade spreaders are sketchy. The one in my Lesco that wound set you back $700 likes to slip around. I generally don't use the edge guards anyway.

Another great informative video!, ive recently subscribed to your videos and don't regret it, one question for you is, do u have your own cool / warm season grass schedule for the average homeowner?
@GregPhillips.22
@GregPhillips.22 2 месяца назад
I actually did a spring program for folks that went from February through May. Then I did my "summer preparation" video which covered the summer months. Main goal of my channel is to keep folks from putting products out that does them no good. Was a single dad for most of my time raising kids so understand how precious folks time is. What I am getting at it's hard to put a "program" together considering the reach of RU-vid. Just here in the US cool/warm season grasses, different pH, watering needs. Insects etc. so it's hard to do a "one size fits all" program. You are either going to miss something or make a recommendation for products that are not needed. One thing you are more than welcome to do is go to my Facebook page "home lawn care advice" and you can post photos, give region you live in, post soil sample results and would be happy to help. There are a few other guys on there that really know their stuff so you will likely get multiple prospectives from some very knowledgeable people. Put you on the right path.

So which herbicide is better? Bio or spectracide or bayer
@GregPhillips.22
@GregPhillips.22 3 месяца назад
The spectracide controls nutsedge and has a second active ingredient for summer grassy weed. I wound go with it.

great video. didnt know about the sta green granular. will have to pick some up. is there a temperature requirement for it?
@GregPhillips.22
@GregPhillips.22 3 месяца назад
Most grassy weed herbicides need 70-85 to work well. Cool season grass try not to apply when it is in that upper range unless you have good soil moisture. Likely will not kill the grass but will save you discoloration.
