Josh Palmer tell me about it. I haven’t watched any of his videos in ages because I don’t play/am not interested in any of the newer total war games. But oh well, I’m sure some other viewers are the exact opposite of me. Can’t please everyone.
Damn. Legend has gained 30k subs since I last watched. All this Warhammer content is definitely bringing the people in, but its sure not why I'm here. More Medieval 2 please!
Nice content ! Just a little criticism, we could use a little bit more introduction of the disaster in question. In recent SYDC, you jumped in the action fast without explaining well what was the actual issue : what ennemies, which problems etc. Not a big deal, but you could spend just one or two more minutes to introduce the disaster before starting the action. (I felt that especially during the cult of Sotek SYDCs for example, this one may be better)
This one is pretty self explanatory. 3 settlements, tiny armies, no money and a shit tonne of enemies on his front doorstep. Which he addressed in full in about 20 seconds. What else is there to explain?
In the Kingdoms campaigns for M2, there's shit-all explanation to be done because they're so small. It's not the main game with a huge grand campaign and a million possibilities.
Yay finally a SYDC that isn't on Warhammer (judging by the comments a lot of people share my sentiment) Btw Legend it's been a while since you did a top 5 list, why?
You mean in medieval 2 or the top 5 lists? pretty sure he got the ideas for those lists from his fans and there were plenty of ideas to do judging from the comments I've seen before
he said it on stream not to long ago, that the last few top 5 had been not preforming like they used to. So he has been thinking about if it is even worth making them anymore
@@hardradaa7212 Well from what I've noticed the last 2 or 3 top X lists were about Warhammer exclusively, and well not everyone plays that game ESPECIALLY people who can't afford +1000$ computers I might be wrong but maybe that's it
I would love to see more medieval 2. But I also remember you mentioned that you had more fun playing Warhammer games. Medieval 2 is my fav, but do what you take pride in 👍
I'm not your regular person to poll, but I only enjoy your Rome and ME footage. Haven't played the other games and the mechanics are too often beyond me.
It's always lovely to see some Medieval 2 being taken for a spin. I'm a long-time fan of Warhammer- my brothers were playing early Fantasy before I was born, even -and I adore the TW:W games because muh nostalgia- but even I can get tired of it every so often.
I'm all for more Medieval II content. I don't play Warhammer, so I just scroll-pout past those videos. Medieval II and Rome (the original), along with their respective DLCs, are my favs.
Love to see Medieval II and the Teutonic order Total War. Or the mod Game of thrones and playing ad the Starks. Just a suggestion from a xxxxhrs veteran of that game ^.^ and still playing
While not totally "saved", I would say that you're pretty much good to go. Certainly not on the brink of extinction like before. In my hundreds of hours of playing this game on VH/VH, I always felt I could turn any situation around as long as I had two good, solid stacks near each other to gain a crushing victory in a major battle and turn the tide. Around the Baltic coast, near Danzig, you pretty much have that or you soon will. Then it's just a matter of putting the Poles into a trap or blasting one of their over-confident, wandering armies with both of yours. Do that 2 or 3 times, and Poland will be in serious trouble in this scenario.
I'd send a save file but the game is super fucking easy meaning I'd have to either basically play a 'this is total war' game as someone like Milan or maybe take a nap for 100 turns and hope the mongols expand enough to provide a real challenge.
@@Batumtl What's the struggle there? Like worst case scenario all of Europe is now free real estate since cav is op af, the AI doesn't know how to use anything other than skirmish cav properly meaning that so long as you envelop the enemy with cav you'll win every battle you fight, and the crusader armies aren't really a threat since they tend to beeline for either your capital or your wealthiest city. Thus since those attacks head for the two cities you're gonna have massive garrisons at anyway and the ai is just flat retarded when it comes to dealing with an enemy than can sally out against them. Heck, my last france campaign i was just invading anything that was convenient to hit while ignoring diplomacy entirely. Got excommunicated almost instantly, still managed to conquer almost everything the Axis held in WW2 (plus extra in certain places) by the time the mongols bothered to show up. Also yes, you can still do the same thing on autoresolve it's just a bit slower to do. The only reason i picked out milan as being different is because milan starts in a shitty position and while its armies are good (especially its crossbows) its not quite super easy to just start the pain train on turn one like you can with any of the major factions or the countries like scotland that start in the corners. So you can't autoresolve spam your way out of any issues you find. Venice also has similar issues, but in Venice's case its because its spread way the fuck out and most of your starting cities are useless. In terms of skirm cav (which that AI can use to an extent) bring longer ranged units like crossbows or longbows. Ta da, solved that problem. Or autoresolve your way through them if you're feeling in a middle manager kind of mood.
@@lokenontherange Thanks for your explanation. I've only finished two campaigns on Med II - only one as a Catholic nation - and I've obviously never ever really tried to fuck my diplomacy up at the point of being excommunicated instantly. But I've noticed the cav units are OP as fuck though. Still, don't you get attacked by stacked armies at every position? And yeah, I have to confess the game felt much easier than Shogun 2 though. The first time I ever played that game I got swept by turn 6 or 7 as Oda, I wasn't expecting the AI to be that aggressive. I'm much more familiar with the game and the TW franchise now though.
