Claudia Parker Thankfully, the brain itself can't actually feel pain so once the doctors get past the skull, it's all hunky daisies. I still hope I *never* need brain surgery, though.

For some brain surgeries, they have to keep the patient awake because they need to check if they are still able to recognize simple shapes, animals, math equations, excetera. They do have an anesthetic that will not put them to sleep it just numbs that area so they're not able to feel anything.
I had a mole removed from my back once and I got stiches, but the problem was I had a game that week so I was playing soccer with stiches on my shoulder blade. It wasn't fun.😐
The skin thing happened to my dad. When my dad was younger he worked at this big factory and his thumb got stuck between this huge machine and a tree, he couldn't do anything but pull it out, so he did. It ripped off his skin, and he was rushed to the hospital. His thumb was then attached to his chest. There's still a scar on his chest, and his thump looks red and meaty, his thumb nail is wacky, and his phone doesn't register his thumb as legit skin, if that says something.
Hannah Kiss omg Good thing he's fine now. My dad accidentally hurt himself with a piece of wood. A part of his thumb nail was dark purple for a year, and people would think its dirt but its not. He is ok now
The brain aneurysm one was kind of cool. I don't think they do open craniotomy or clipping for it as much anymore, though, because it's better to keep your skull intact if at all possible. Nowadays they put a little catheter in through your groin and travel it up a vein to the aneurysm and do everything on a pretty microscopic scale. They do the same thing to remove blood clots. Pretty insane.
Btw the worst part about brain surgery is that you have to be awake during the surgery so they make sure they don't break you/anything so that SUCKS for poor adorable blue boi Ethan
On the Paccemaker one, Ethan drew the blood. I thought I was fine but I grabbed my trash can and threw up. I need to stop watching these kinds of videos.
The blood drawing made me cringe because I could feel the blood sucking out then I remembered I have a blood test in two weeks and this ruined my day 😂
