I laugh out loud so much more through these Bench Torque videos than I do watching comedy specials. It's crazy to me these are the least viewed videos on the boys channel. Keep it up!
I am crying from laughter because of this editing. Keep up the amazing work, I barely care what the topic is as long as you two keep interrupting one another and leave it in there.
Tiny vehicles tend make the people driving them highly insecure. So to improve our collective mental health it's time to ban small vehicles from the road /s
Here's one i heard on the news, they created a "aggressivety scale" and were rating vehicle's based on how "aggressive" it is and were focusing on the yank utes...Wtf how the f@#k is a vehicle aggressive!?! The world is stupid. Great upload guys 👌
Oh dear God, I appear to be the target of this episode, lol! I own and drive several sports cars, wife has a VF-II V8 Calais-V as a daily, we have a Hybrid on order, test drove and had a deposit down on a Ram diesel for work and heavy towing. Some things changed so we grabbed a smaller 4WD and changed our towing plans accordingly.
Never clicked on a video faster love the content you two provide absolutely killer, Nice to see a pair in the automotive media industry with functioning brains. Cheers boys ❤😂
Let’s make a another point. USA does not import utes/trucks, charging a whopping 25% import tax for import trucks. This results in 100% local manufactured trucks/utes, even Japanese brands being locally produced in the USA. Now contrast that with Australia politics and production. The reason we have import trucks is because we don’t manufacture.
I;ve got a double cab, dually 8ft bed, in diesel. If I didnt have that, id have to have a huge lorry or tow with inappropriate vehicule and put people in danger
To be clear, I don't care what people choose to drive. But some points made here are inaccurate. Firstly, it is a genuine concern about safety and traffic issues to argue about the size of the vehicles in places such as supermarket car parks. If the vehicle can't fit in the car park space at least have the decency to leave the vehicle at home. This isn't just about RAM's but also most 'Utes' like Triton, Ranger, and some XL 'SUVs'. Secondly, there is already 'additional rego' for Heavy vehicles! There is an National heavy vehicle rego that is higher than the state rego due to the excess damage massive trucks do to the national road network. To ask that some similar policy be implemented at the state level isn't crazy, just difficult to implement. But with the large increase in 2+ Tonne vehicles on the roads it is not really fair for other road users to shoulder the cost of excess road maintenance.
I've got a Q50S Hybrid - (Skyline), it's the closest replacement to my ARX Stagea - really fun and the hybrid keeps the fuel consumption down. I love it to be honest....it's 'old' but I''m also old and my old Cefiro RB25DET swap isn't exactly relaxing to drive...
These US utes look like up scaled regular utes, if I drove a Japanese medium truck, and used it as a work, recreational, tow vehicle, nobody would say boo. Some Teslas already weigh around 2500kg. People are dumb.
The hummer ev does weight 4.5 tonnes I think if I was looking at buying an ev it would be a Hyundai they are the best in my mind Hey I have just spent this weekend in a hybrid Camry I’m loving it trying to use electric more than petrol I will be interested tomorrow when I fill it up to see how much fuel it used I might even buy one and get rid of my 520 diesel 😂😂😂
OMG sooooo much negativity about trucks Down Under, when y'all have sooooo much space. We can't get by here without our duallies, y'all need to lighten up and heavy duty up. My pet peeve is having my dually baned from the Macdonalds drive through over here, I actually have to get out to get my Big Mac and half gallon coke.
If I could afford to have 5 of them I would. Why… because they are cool! That’s it. I’m talking about big block chev’s in torana’s, hktg’s, or Hq’s. Yes… I commented on the right video!
big hand or small phone? my thoughts... nice to see the classics still alive and well in 2023, hope it got a full bare metal resto not some bog and a slap of metallic
Personal opinion, I think the 1500/150 class of vehicles are pretty useless. And sadly they are the vast majority of the "american pickups" being sold. The only reason I say is, they're petrol, which is thirsty and lets be honest not great for HEAVY towing, but people just like to own a petrol V8... these are the ones being driven around town and never towing a thing in their life... The 2500/250+ class vehicles are something that people might have a genuine want/need for - that is for towing big caravans, big trailers with maybe machinery, big boats etc. and in my opinion those are the ones that are better to have on the road, a 3500 ram is going to be much better placed to tow that 3.5ton caravan than a 200 series landcruiser or better yet hilux... it's safer to tow that mass, it will brake better, steer better and pull up hills, down hills and around bends better with it's significantly longer wheelbase, wider stance and significantly more powerful engine (lets negate people lifting them on 30in chinese fake wheels and tires not weight rated for the application). The problem is the people buying the 150/1500's "because V8" and then using them to pickup groceries, go to their salon appointment and then never even towing with them, I really couldn't care less about what someone drives, but genuinely when everything you do with it is parking it and it can't fit in any of the carparks your taking it to... then really it's a pretty dumb purchase for your needs. (my flip side to that is, I wish carparks were bigger, so people could own these vehicles or anything else for that matter and not have to worry about not fitting in spaces etc. - unfortunately tho, I don't ever see that changing)
