@@JacksonJinn People are making way too big a deal of the bomb thing, it's just one bad matchup. Every deck has bad matchups. The problem with Reno is that while he is very good in a highlander deck, he isn't enough reason to make a highlander deck by himself. We'll have to see if the one remaining highlander card (assuming its neutral) will be enough to make that happen.

@@Junebug89 well for us wild player we have classic Reno, Kazakus, the mean streats singleton legendary and explorers now :) Wild is the best way to get the most out of the game while spending less in the long term.

it's way better than shaman 4 mana 7/7. It's a 4 mana 8/8 with a lakey battlecry and basically no downside!

TheNamelessGod it does have a downside. You lose that 1/1 and forget to attack which leads to a loss of 1dmg point and you end up in a really close game, but you're one off, then you regret ever playing that card, you switch from hearthstone to uno and you wonder how your life turned that way. The downside is too big. Don't play that card

@@abrakadaniel5908 well how're you gonna get rid of all the myra cards? I'm pretty sure there aren't that many 0 cost spells and you have to kill the anka from the previous turn (unless the opponent kills it). I can't see this otk working on turn 5

Something being on the weaknesses list wasn't supposed to mean "never gets any". Hunter card gen is still much worse than most other classes. Similarly, Mage isn't supposed to be a weapon class, for instance, but there have been several Mage cards that give weapons

@@reintype I do see your point, to an extent, but I'd also point out that 2 of those are Twinspells (only 3 classes even got them, 2 each), Ursatron only draws a Mech (only really useful for Mech Hunter, therefore. 3/3 for 3, DR:Draw a Mech is waaaay too slow for any other Hunter deck), Springpaw and Halazzi only generate 1/1 Rush Beasts which are OK but not spectacular, and Zuljin never actually generates a card at all, just the effects (picky, I know, but not strictly card gen or draw). The only Classic set draw they get are Starving Buzzard (nerfed into oblivion), Tracking (which also discards 2 cards; plz SMorc moar) and Flare, which is... OK, most of the time. Hunter is *still* not a good card gen/draw class, even with the recent toys >> Deathstalker Rexxar: "Am I joke to you?" DK Rexxar was indeed pretty nutso, but he's Wild only now

@@grezy_mechta6809 Yep. And for a Controlish Deck generating 3 Cards is arguably more valuable since you dont have to burn through your deck. I habe no clue what Blizzard is thinking... Mech Hunter is in a good spot at this point but giving these strong card to a "strong" class. If nothing else on pair "strongly" comes around for the non meta classes I will hate this meta even more.

@@trentondawn except that the mana cost of the lackey is included in the 4 mana. If you count the lackey as a separate card, it's a 3 mana 7/7

But in total (with the lackey) it would be 3/3 + 5/5 + 1/1 which would be a 9/9. But the 1/1 died so it's 8/8 worth of stats.

Hunter is having trouble providing enough pressure for aggro right now. Many cards that mass spawn minions like Emerald Spellstone are gone. Hunter's pack only generates value. It does not provide any tempo. That said, hunter is the king of midrange. The card sets it up for a powerful future turn where it can capitalize on the secret and weapon. Aggro prefers to have card generation and a body or multiple bodies on the same turn. Murloc shaman and token druid come to mind.

Face hunter just doesn't work anymore with the closest thing being secret hunter and in that case you would hate to start the game with a 3 mana do nothing its like muliganing into kill command
