10:52 - I mean, in the original film Jigsaw wasn't rounding up bad people to punish them, he was rounding up mostly innocent people who he deemed weren't appreciating their lives enough. The first guy was just someone who cut himself for attention, Amanda was only a user of drugs, not a dealer. Even Lawrence's only crime was having an unhappy marriage and cheating on his wife. It was never meant to be about punishment of bad people, just Jigsaw basically being bitter that he was dying while other people were, in his eyes, squandering their lives.

Brilliantly done. The summer of Saw. I knew this would rough once we passed the original. To think right now you are having to examine that Jigsaw movie...I’m pretty sure you are suffering more than anyone in any Saw movie. The true point of Saw sequels is the pain they cause the audience.

Saw V was where I gave up with the series, 1 because it was just getting to stupid for me and 2 when watching it the moment Strahm jumped up to try and escape the crushing walls both me and the friend I was watching with turned to each other and with out hesitation on cue just started singing the 60's Spider man theme and nothing was ever going to be better than that.

I couldn't wait to see all the Saws when they first came out. Looking back at them maybe the first 3 or 4 were worth it but man it feels cheesy especially when you look at which ever Saw started with the two guy and their ex girlfriend set up in a tank with the only option being push the saw blade close to one of the guys to kill themselves or push it in the middle to kill the girl.

That was 7 and to be fair, it's one of the few traps where the victims think before they act dumb and get killed, and they survive... Somehow. It's ruined by the fact they are in a tank... IN PUBLIC domain, visible by everyone and such. How do Hoffman set up that thing without being spotted by anyone else ?
