If you look at my only vid - it's also a saw - I chucked on a tilting table mechanism that does away with 90% of the sketchiness of using a big circular saw - it keeps you well away from the blade & also makes cutting pretty effortless as the tables spring assisted. But mainly, it keeps you out of harms way. :-)
Well sorted bit of kit. A68 and A55 on the belt guard - any relevance..? I also noticed the engine rocking gently under load independently of the bench - is it sitting on rubber mounts..?
David Hayward, Very observant. Belt sizes! Not so easy to forget when the numbers are welded on to the guards! The cradle has a bit of flex. Not sure that is good long term. I am checking for cracks appearing at the welds!
Yes, it can go on and on and on... down the rabbit hole! The knee throttle is really working well though. There are large pieces where you really need two hands and the ability to increase the power during a cut, if things start to go pear shaped half way through the cut if you release the throttle, the drive disengages, blade stops and the engine returns to idle. Ask how I know the value of this!
