Band History:
In 1969, the original base of the band was Mojo Collins (lead vocals, guitar), Starr Donaldson (guitar, vocals), Ronnie Montrose (guitar), Chuck Ruff (drums) and Bill Church (bass). They were signed to Fillmore Records, co-owned by producer David Rubinson and promoter Bill Graham, and toured and opened for major acts. They appeared at the Fillmore West in the last week concerts to take place there in 1971.
During the course the recording process, Montrose's guitar work had caught the attention of Van Morrison. Rubinson arranged an audition with Morrison, who had recently moved from New York to California and needed a new band to record his next album Tupelo Honey. Montrose joined morrison and brought Bill Church with him. Both left Sawbuck but they did appear on two songs on the Sawbuck album. They were replaced by Stephen Hatley on keyboards and acoustic guitar, and bass player Nine Year and the album was released in 1972. As Edgar Winter was forming The Edgar Winter Group, which included Dan Hartman and Ronnie Montrose, Ronnie recruited Chuck Ruff which essentially ended the band Sawbuck. In 1973, Montrose and Church formed the band Montrose with Sammy Hagar and Denny Carmassi.
"Sawbuck" was the first and only album from the band Sawbuck. The album was recorded during 1970 and 1971 and finally released in 1972. A single "There Will Be Love" with "Bible Burning" on the flip side was released in 1971. (Info from Wikipedia)

Great Song. Grew up in Reno. Moved to Vegas a few years back. Miss Reno. The slide show brought some memories back of old Reno. We used to cruise Virginia Street on Fri & Sat. Those were the days . Man !!!!!!!!
