Love Sawyer Brown and love the incomparable Joe Bonsall. This song sounds like it could have been recorded by the Oak Ridge Boys.

BLESS JOE BONSALL! 😢. We have pictures of him giving my sister his guitar 🎸 pic right in the middle of his performance! We were front row seats! Her hands are shaking so bad they are blurred as she reaches out to take the guitar pic from Joe ! He was grinning from ear to ear ! Always loved the Oakridge Boys and Sawyer Brown ! Joe was the same age as me! 😢

Sawyer Brown was huge in the 80's. This may sound pop its still country. Nobody back in the day would of listened to this other then country. Michael Jackson was huge in the 80's when Billie jean came out. This is during that period in time. It would of been a sin back in the day to call this pop.

I listened to this and Jackson. People's musical tastes overlap a lot. I'd call this country pop.

@offspringfan41588 No, I've got chart books from Joel Whitburn's Record Research, from Menomonee Falls, WI. I guess you could call me a 'chart freak'. God bless ya, for askin'!

@bperkins21 Why, because SB asked Joe Bonsall to guest on a song of theirs? Pretty petty, if ya ask me, right, gang? God bless!

And they say that today's country doesn't sound like country, not like the olden days. This was a 1986 'country' song, and it doesn't sound in the least country to me. It sounds like something Huey Lewis could have recorded.

1:08 I feel sorry for Derrick and Suzy. That’s worse than getting picked last on each team.

This video is the real reason William Lee Golden left the Oaks in early 1987.

How do you know this? And why would this video have anything to do with his leaving when he didn't have anything to do with the video? God bless you always!!! Holly in East Tennessee

@@SweetHeartHolly1982 I don't believe that for a minute-do you? I have no idea why the Mountain Man left the group.

With all due respect to Sawyer Brown, I think it would've been better if the rest of the Oak Ridge Boys were featured in this song. Joe was cool though.
