It’s so rough! Hugs to you. I had a chihuahua for 15 years. Loved her so much. Now I have a 1 year old chihuahua mix. They are so special to us. Such good companions! 🙏🏻

You're right, its definitely a tough decision. 😢 I had to make that decision for my 18 year old cockapoo Maggie in April. It absolutely gutted me, but it was the right thing to do. Maggie was losing the ability to use both her hind legs and she was getting senile - didn't know where was anymore. I'm glad you've found peace with your decision.
Im so sorry about your Copper, Roxanne. We have been battling the decision with the hubs for our dog Jack who is just over 16 yrs. He eats, walks, but he is losing muscle mass, gets us up three of four times a night to pee, and does have to take a long time to stand up. Today is Rainbow Bridge rememberance day, so God gave you your answer on this day to allow Copper to sleep peacefully. Hugs from your AHS '83 friend.
Aww, Roxanne we left for vacation on the 27th, and got back a couple of days ago, so just now getting caught up on RU-vid. I'm soo very sorry it took me so long to see this! I know you knew it was coming, but it's never easy to say goodbye-especially after 14 years! My prayers of sympathy go out for you!!
@athomeinaz5421 Yes, it was wonderful! As a final part of our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration (that occurred in June), we went on a cruise (our first time ever) to Alaska (also our first time, ever), and had an amazing time! The weather was perfect, upper 50s, albeit rainy a few days, but a huge relief from the record-breaking heat we'd had here off and on all Summer. And the scenery there was breathtakingly beautiful!
