He has a similar career to Klokov. Shoulder injury, retired at 30, 1 time world champion, 1 Olympic silver medal, almost same best competition Clean and Jerk (Klokov 232) but 10 kg lighter. One difference is that Klokov has no world records. He has inspired and motivated a lot of people like Klokov, including me. I used to watch Bradley Martyn in 2018 and one day there was a guy with a russian accent push pressing 200 in his gym. So I started watching Klokov videos on youtube and was hooked. 
21:39 Tian Tao is/was the best highbar squatter on the planet with Haack I think they are the only people I can think of who did sub 100kgs BW 320kgs highbar insane amount of strength and Tian is not even a powerlifter so his max would've probably been 330 or around there. Insane
He has attempted a 236 C&J at 2018 worlds. Missed the jerk, but the clean was so smooth. Probably the best sub 100kg bw clean ever. Moradi cleaned 237 that comp, but it was a grind. I honestly wouldn’t have been surprised if he was able to clean 250 at some point, definitely well into the 240s.
If he is retiring for real this time I hope he goes full Klokov from here. It would be awesome to see him just push the clean and the squat especially since those are clearly the things he's best at. Idk about now but if 2019 Tian had a chance to train solely for the clean I think he'd have done at least 250, insane to think about for someone weighing under 100. He's easily one of if not the most impressive cleaner to ever live.

@@bobbyflaybobbyflay5065 I didnt shit on them I just stated that they dont understand the difference in difficulty between hi bar and lowbar. While both are insanely strong a hi bar ATG squat with low profile knee sleeves is just another level. Than lowbar with the same weight

A prominent Chinese weightlifting coach once used Tian's lower back as a visual aid for bracing on social media. When I asked if it could have anything to do with his uniquely hyper-developed erectors, he said only looks that way due to Tian's bracing technique. 😂
Chinese brand but Hook Grip has been selling the exact same ones for years. They keep your knees warm but don’t offer the same stiffness or support like the ones popular now like SBD. But they also don’t restrict movement like the newer stiffer ones.
