Hello, I absolutely love hens, simply because they remind me of my happy childhood memories back in Poland in the country at my grandparents' house. Thank you for this lovely video. Thank you for making loads of videos lately. I always enjoy them. Have a great day. Eve

My daughter has kept chickens in Vermont for a number of years now for the eggs. Her chicken coop is nothing like your chicken coop. Your chicken coop looks very spacious, and I love the fact that it is made of stacked stone apparently. How many hens do you have? and are they all laying hands?

Yes, it's an old stone barn, which was used for horses originally, and built perhaps 150 years ago. That was the only way of building around here until quite recently. Most people lived in single story long stone barns, with the living area at one end, the animals adjacent, and the bedrooms in the roof over the animals for warmth. Right now we have nine hens living in complete luxury with the barn all to themselves, and going outside too. They're all technically laying hens but a few of them are now in retirement!
