You wake up in the dead of night. You look out your window to firey red streaks flying through the sky. Upon inspection, you find that they are giant asteroids. You immediatly head outside to inspect this predicament. As you cross by your computer, which you have fond memories of reading Homestuck on, you find that it is not shut down, and is in fact playing familiar music. On the monitor, is the sburb loading screen. Your journey has begun.
Jz1207 ru sure cus like you need and even amount of friends and if you don’t have all your friends playing they will die and if you fail well you all die... Sry to rain on ur parade
@@AlexNikkiClicky I was a very silly kid six years ago, and thought it would be fun to have a quirk like a homestuck troll. People got annoyed, so I dropped it after like a month.
@@regularuser7070 Oh, it was. I genuinely enjoyed it, but some other people were annoyed, and eventually them being annoying back out of spite was more unfun than having a quirk was fun. In a more accepting, friendly world, I would probably still be goofing around with a quirk, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.
Universes where Sburb exists are living creatures - giant spacetime-frogs for which the game is a reproductive mechanism. It didn't "destroy the universe and restart it"; it destroyed one planet, whose children struggled to create a new universe in the wake of that destruction. (The "destruction of the universe" was due to unfortunate circumstances befalling the frog from outside, circumstances which, while facilitated by the game, really can't be blamed upon it.)
Playing the game didnt end the world, it was dooned from the start bc of OTHER people playing the game so bad it forced an entire other universe into things
Theres gonna be a meteor which will fly incredibly close to earth on 4/13 in 2029, exactly 20 years after the creation of homestuck. Coincidence? I think not.
Edoardo Cruz I started it today and I am lost, like why did he take a shit on his desk? Why are there so many cakes? Why does no one literally question where the mom is?
The loading screen reminds me of the Terraria-esque loading blurbs (Making Caves, wrangling bunnies, putting rocks in the dirt, putting dirt in the rocks) and a TouHou battle. Alternatively, the Don't Starve loading screen, still with the blurbs, except Wilson ate some bad berries.
Gnash has an option to dump the frames to PNG files. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, though - it has a lot of rendering bugs (e.g. the clouds in this video are supposed to change color) and I'm not sure the current version comes with the PNG option.
Happy Homestuck day to anyone reading this (on the day of me writing this). Man, this shit was a journey. From John eating cake, to killing a tyrannical sea hitler, a group of green men and 3 people that look kinda familiar but are actually 3 very different entities, and all the things in between. Though some of it was... mediocre, everything else was top notch. See y'all next 4/13.
I started reading Homestuck a year ago and never finished. I made it to that part with the underground area and a timer. I still don't know what SBurb is lol. My theory, using the knowledge I have from what I've read, is that it's a harbinger of destruction for a world. It's not sentient, or even alive, it's just sort of an inevitable occurrence that takes different forms, and for the world of Homestuck, it took the form of a game. How close to what it actually is am I? Don't spoil it, I just wanna know if I'm at least partially correct.
I would make a Sburb game... Except I don't know how to program, I have absolutely no art skills, And I would probably lose interest in the project. (but if it's any consolation, I'm incredibly creative) ((I think...))
@CountessCulhame Yes. My laptop came with vista (groan) and has a fan made Sburb loading-screen screensaver that I loaded onto it. for where to get said screensaver I cannot be of much help, but googling "sburb spirograph screensaver" is a good place to start looking. Also, the screensaver I use doesn't have the music. :(
>Starts SBURB Private server with online friends. "Later, guys who picked on me! Later, tools! Sorry family, I forgot to buy you guys copies too. :( Whatever, I'm on an adventure! Yeah!"
@ZepherENocora Welcome to the world of Homestuck. I'm assuming you never read it if you thought this was a real game. MS paint adventures is the place to go to read this awesome webcomic. I hope you enjoy it. =D
