Both players were superb in this tournament. Really love their play. Clem was a beast when it comes to mines. And Reynor, that lurker drop was just insane!. Super, super love it. 💕🙌
Have to say those were amazing games from Clem. He's really stepped it up recently. I remember when he was just starting and he was fine but nothing to really talk about. But these last few tournaments he's been slaughtering. Last game I think his main problem was those hellbats. Unless you're pushing to the main and just want to end the game, I find pure hellbats are pretty useless. Drones can run away and queens can split and slowly pick them off. If you're at the natural pushing to the main or something with a BC or like that liberator, that would make more sense since there's less room to run and you can probably trap the queens and take em out. After that he was behind and the probably playing sloppier having runbys actually snipe off lots of units... Seriously looks like Clem will get there though. Seeing someone finally micro widow mines that much is nice to see (painful too since I"m a zerg player). Widows can be so OP but zergs split well enough at this point that it often doesn't matter. But if you micro the widow mines targetting then splitting is useless unless you split your entire army which would require another level of micro which I"m not sure is possible.. at least not at this point. Counter would have to be multiple waves which would have to have the zerg have so much units. And also do more surrounds which I feel players dont do enough. Think the answer is just what raynor did and just not use ling bane muta anymore...
at 1:39:45... did Reynor timed the counter attack when Clem destroyed the hatchery? Btw loved to have the players' camera so we can see this Godlike players emotional expression too.
I think Clem's main issue is not being able to adapt his build. Lurkers are very good against bio and widows aren't really good against lurkers. If he got more adaptable he'd maybe be better than reynor
I like how shoutcasters stutter to provide emphasis, when all it really sounds like is that they don't know what the fuck they're talking about when they're being paid to talk, lol.
I wish I was young enough to apm like these guys. There are so many obvious strategies that I would use and it would become main stream. Example, in this game I would have used scvs and spotter scouts during mid and late game. I would never become blindsided by a run by of lings. It’s way more cost effective having a few spotter scvs killed then losing a bunch. Knowing there is a run by coming will lead to these actions. You can either move harvesting scvs to safety, move units to defend or have the attempted run by pulled back because they lost the element of surprise which it depends on. And you never have to worry about them moving with army commands.
Findus Peterson come on man, don’t be stupid. What happens when a run by is successful? How many scvs die? Would you sacrifice 50 minerals to have an advanced warning that a run by is coming? How many matches have you watched where banglings or any attacking group of units are just beyond the range to be spotted? How much resources are lost or could have been saved if they were spotted? So my answer is yes, I would give up a few scvs for that because they would be lost based on what I wanted instead of losing a bunch I didn’t want too. Lose an scv instead of replacing 10 because I was surprised. How can this not make any sense?
@@moety2 your advanced warning doesnt mean shit ^^ they get picked off by random scouting units, you need multiple to cover every path and even then you dont have vision of air. just build a sensor tower ..
Findus Peterson I don’t give a shit what you claim. Have you ever done it? I do it a bunch of times and it works that’s why I’m saying it. You don’t run into random scouting units mid to late game which is when I said to do it, you run into groups of attacking units wanting to catch you off guard . Also it’s not just for Terran and depends how the game is progressing. And I do use sensor towers. Opponents typically avoids going into the range of a sensor, well the smart ones. They usually run right into the scv scout also giving away their unit composition if you check the area fast enough before the fog of war comes back.
lemme guess zerg won...imo zerg is perfect as it is but it shows the flaws of other races, fixing turrets, mothership, hellions and vikings could balance it out a bit better. Maybe creep could retract faster when destroyed...
@@rakashaagain Clem won 2 games in which Reynor skipped lurkers. He didn't find the key to fight lurkers but anyway if there's a nerf it'll probably be Vipers like already stated. Vipers and abduct as it is are breaking both ZvT and ZvP. This added to the fact that Zergs now understand that they can go further than 70 drones are making things really tense and that's why we're seeing Zerg getting the nerfs they deserve, and that they'll probably get more.
Actually Clem beat Reynor in the winners bracket. When Clem is successful in putting constant pressure on Reynor, he isn't able to get a Viper and Lurker count that is unbeatable. Terran is best when putting on constant pressure.
Lurkers and vipers might be really strong at high level play, they are harder to use for lower and mid tier players. Widow mines are much easier for lower tier. How do u balance it for all level of players?
