After watching wayyyyy too much SC2 games in the last two years I have finally found the ultimate match. This is better than every action movie ever made, this is just absolutly insane. Every match in this series is brilliant and the last one is absolutly bonkers. This is not just metal this is heavy doomsday metal. I'm mindblown by what Reynor delievered here. And maru was obviously as good as it gets, but I think Reynor just broke the game somehow. This is unreal!
Epic game! Did you watch [2020 GSL S3] Ro.16 Group C Match2 PartinG vs Maru really great game. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dZMEBjPIP7g.html great game too (search for title if you want whole match, this is just match 2)
InControl was just a great part of an even greater thing. You should never stop watching! His goofy spirit lives on in this game. And honestly these are some of the greatest games ever played.
After watching so much SC2, it's this series that takes the crown. Hands down best series I've watched in ages. How am I even going to fall asleep now.
@@KyleBourret Terran is OP on the highest level, but for people like me in diamond and lower, Terran is extremly hard. You can macro much easier as Zerg or Protoss.
@@bigriverraiders9243 You mean protoss, is kind of weak at the moment? Terran and Zerg dominated this year, no doubt. Protoss just started to do some stuff towards the end of the year. Let's hope, they find a way in 2021.
I never knew SC2 can give you goosebumps and this comeback is just amazing.. the fighting spirit of italian zerg, last game and never say die attitude... I'm just out of words...
@@Permanente95 maybe not that high, after all one game was literally messing up a build order. Then again I guess you could argue it adds to the charm lol.
20:45 The upgrades really told a story that game too. For a long time Reynor had crap upgrades on the ground while Maru was chilling with 3/3. Even here you can see Maru is investing for the future, but Reynor isn't bothering to even finish his ground upgrades. Masterclass in strategic play from Marue, I love it!
Seems that Reinor has reinvigorated Zerg. This is the way Zerg ment to play: roam the map, expand like mad and swarm the opponent with non-stop attacks
I love how people in the live chat were talking about how "if reynor isnt rapping then he must be mentally broken and its over". These are, often times, just children. I think expecting people this young to already have an an iron constitution and be mentally unflappable is not realistic. It adds to the realism, but these kids are obviously resilient and I would never count Reynor out.
just the fact that he has been able to reach such high levels of skills is a statement to how tolerant to failure he is and how much he wants to get better and discipline he has. I guess you can really understand the meaning of these words if you have tried it yourself and realize how hard it can be. I feel nothing but respect to people who is able to achieve this level of proficiency on a craft since I have tried many times myself and never came close to it.
I wish you would have left the video going a little bit more to see Reynor's celebration until the last moment. It was incredible to watch this live... the moment it ended one idea popped out of my mind so organically: "this is one of the greatest SCII serieses ever".
This is from a stream, in the 9 days they mentioned a few dozens matches were played. If you want to accomplish super clean editing on that, it's a significant time/money sink. You can find the full streams on their Twitch page. IMO, I'm super glad they spend time and effort getting it to RU-vid (where their money IS NOT made) and they already have your preferences covered on Twitch. /shrug Not trying to flame, but "fire your editor" is suuuuper ignorant and misdirected.
This was an unreal series. I didn't even know who to root for. Maru is my favorite Terran player, but it is very hard not to root for Reynor who just always seems to find a way to reset his focus despite things not always going his way. It went right down to the wire with back-and-forth, nail-biting drama.
While he isn't always bad, I personally find it really annoying and poor sportsmanship. There is a point where celebrating turns into rubbing your victory in and Reynor has absolutely crossed that line a few times.
@@just-some-menace6138 While everyone is entitled to his own opinions I struggle to understand your reasoning. Reynor celebrates by showing his happiness, but he never did it in the opponent's face offline, and certainly he didn't do that online, where they can't even see each other.
I really love this series because the players character are exactly like how their races should be played, the agressive fast expending zerg VS the patient turtle terran
23:37 Masterful casting by PiG, describing the situation perfectly. It felt like Reynor could've been saying "wait, you're supposed to all in at the 10 min mark and I crush your army with lurkers and GG, that's not fair for you to sit back and play slow and steady." :D Putting the S in RTS baby I love it.
This match was legit close enough that I'd be interested to see which server each game was played on and what latency each player had throughout. A couple dozen MS could be a deciding factor here. O.O
Artosis and Tasteless casts (+Harstem) - humor, stories, puns, great analysis Everyone else - Shouting at the top of their lungs, describing exactly what's going on in the game. You know, the viewers DO have eyes, you don't have to be like the Korean casters just blurting out the obvious making it sound like every single sentence is a goal at a World Cup soccer match
Since the Zerg units that can quickly take out a sieging tank can only be built later, tanks are effective defense against Zerg's push during mid-game. However. the placing of the tanks have to be strategic.
54:50 OMG, no wonder Reynor's army got destroyed harder than expected, his BLs started moving and weren't attacking for a couple seconds. They missed 2 volleys for sure. If the Tanks were destroyed his Infestors could have NP'd a couple thors successfully leaving only ~4 Thors, a few ghosts, and some Vikings. He could have probably at least gotten a pretty even trade.
It seems to me, that Maru, tried to play sexy plays in game 3 and 4, and he got crushed and lost momentum for game 5. He looked undefeatable in game 1 and 2. Like Reynor couldn't find a way to break Maru's defence. I think that if Maru kept playing like the 2 first games, he would have won 3-0.
even when Maru won, I couldnt help but think how perfect terran has to play in order to eek out a win. I mean maru was everywhere trading so cost efficiently, microing multiple fights simultaneously and I still felt like he could lose. Zerg when played this well seems so unfair. I dunno maybe I'm wrong but zergs economy and vision (two of the most important things in a fog of war based rts) seems so advantageous
