This competition will be the 36th ESL-hosted SC2 competition since the inaugural StarCraft II Intel® Extreme Masters competition at Gamescom in 2010. The tournament is once again taking place at the legendary Spodek Arena, deep within the heart of European professional gaming, Katowice. From February 25 through to March 3, 76 of the world’s best StarCraft II players will battle it out for the largest tournament prize pool outside of the StarCraft II World Championship Series.

@ESL don't reverse the playlist order!!! Don't show people which players win as soon as they open the playlist! Ruins everything.

First and Last game were really bad for Hero, on the first one he knew that it was a bad idea(he had more than enough info to know that) and still went for it. On the second game he did just a tiny amount of damage and then tried to get a third 2 early... At least those 2 games should have been easy games for any competent Pro zerg.

PvZ just feels bad. Protoss needs to play so well just to not get overwhelmed. Zerg can overwhelm you early, can overwhelm you mid, can overwhelm you late, queens kill all scouting, on this patch they can just teleport a ton of units in your base if you can't get perfect full vision. The matchup is reasonably balanced, but from the protoss side it just feels so bad.

Soo doesnt use spell casters at all, and wins anyways.

2 early in the game to use them and is not like Hero did much with sentries and also he used storm in only 1 single game. Zerg really needs to get to the late game for spellcaster to be viable and on top of that they cost too much gas needed for upgrades or defensive units early.

Sometimes I feel like Soo is actually the best player (I mean, hello, he beat Serral!!) but his sort of labor party internal ethics just won't let him take first place. That ancestral bhudist / communist humility will only stretch far enough to let him take 2nd at most, hehe. Whoever lined Soo up to meet Serral in the quarterfinals rather than the finals really wanted to see Serral go down.
