SC300 Subwoofer install 

Thank you for the concern, I have bought another in-line fuse and installed it closer to the battery since this video went up.

Just did a full audio upgrade with two twelves, 6.5in in the rear and 4 in the front and a new stereo. This video helped me out so much thanks man. This was by far the hardest install I've done

LRB Speed makes a brushed Aluminum rear speaker deck (and other parts). I haven't received it yet but they worked with me to customize it (I have rear window wiper, and I also wanted to delete the factory speaker holes) and they have been great so far so I'm willing to give them a recommendation here. Prices are honestly not bad at all.

Your supposed to put the fuse block about 12 inches away from the battery

Maybe a Square Kicker solobaric would have fit better in the square opening.

I'm wanting to do this in my 2013 impala and the 10c104 was listed as a great free air sub. I'm gonna try to put a jbl cs1214 in there, but I really gotta do some measuring to see if it'll fit. If not then I guess the kicker 10 it is lol. Nice job,but I think taking the top spacer out and fabbing 1 to match the original square trim. Then ad a clean grill and bam look like factory almost

Very nice whip was looking to get one of these but never found any and ended up getting an 02 ls430

You can fill in the corners with a piece of plastic or wood around sub and lay new fabric over the while lid instead of making a new piece

First off, it was cool of you to upload a video for those that maybe are just learning. Also, I'm not bashing your setup whatsoever. Unfortunately, that Kicker isn't a free-air sub. I've been a fan of Kicker all the way back into the early 90s so don't get the notion that I'm a hater. I have a Corolla which I don't want a huge sub box because I use my trunk for projects and whatnot. So I researched free-air subs, which are and which aren't. I was impatient and bought 2 of those 8 in kicker subs, had to modify/cut rear deck, and customize it. And free-air speakers are sensitive; you need them sealed. Well let's say it stunk. I should've spent the extra money and bought the marine Kicker subwoofers because they are true free-air.

very nice video. helps a lot . just 1 thing , it's best to put the fuse next to the battery so the whole 4 gauge wire won't short or something . and start a fire. better be safe . but otherwise this is a clean install

That or instead of making your holder for your speaker a circle you could have just color matched it and cut a square to cover that hole. I did

Why didn't you go back with the 8" for a better fit, instead of the 10" and hiw is it holding up?

Quick question: couldn’t you have pulled power from the factory amp that was deleted?

Dope Video! So just to recap on the wiring for the amp, 1. Power Wire from amp to battery 2. Ground from strut to amp 3. RC Speaker wires from head unit to Amp Sound about right?

how did you run the wire under the carpet from the trunk to the head unit??

How’s the sound? I’m about to throw an old box in the trunk, but if it sounds cleaner in the stock mount I’ll go that route.

How did you delete your stock amp? I know there is a simple way to get the small speakers to play with that amp. I don't want to waste money taking it somewhere. Inused your 10in ring idea for the sub, worked perfect! I just hate the annoying alternator noise it has with the rca connects if you use the stock amp for the little speakers.

good video mate but the boot is a mess wiring everywhere plus i have never seen fuel tank inside a boot before .if that was my car i be making a wall up out mdf then carpet it to hind the tank then make everything look nice and clean :)

Can't believe you went did 4 gauge wire! That amp only puts out 139 watts! Could of used 10 awg

Would love to see what you came up with for the subwoofer cover... I am knee deep in my SC300 now and this issue is coming around the corner soon. That gas tank adds another challenge. If the woofer was able to drop another inch (uning one of those spacers), do you think the factory cover would have gone back on? How far off was it from fitting on with both spacers on?

Where did you get the adaptor for the 2din radio from?

I have a 93 SC300 that I am restoring and I have a question; why didn't you mount the new sub through the bottom so you wouldn't have the issue of it being too high or not use the spacer to mount it lower?

Shoulda went with the ofc kicker blue wire :(

Please tell me you used something, even zip ties, on the wire ran through out the car.
